Jacob Spencer Jacob Spencer 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH Mount Boucherie | 2025 State CAD , DB, Mount Boucherie (2025) Twitter
Jacob is a defensive back prospect that you can tell very early has a very instinctive football IQ based on his excellent positioning he shows off on every rep. Especially in pass coverage this young man just clings to the ball and that statement lines up well when he gets to the first level to assist stopping the run as a player that is constantly in the right place at the right time. His range is also very impressive with his size as he plays way bigger on tape than the measurables show. This young man is a prime example you go outside the measurables threeshold for as I love this kid’s work ethic he shows off on every rep as well.
Sebastian Gaspar Sebastian Gaspar 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Rutland | 2025 CAD , DB, Rutland (2025) Twitter
Another defensive back that cracked our list from Kelowna, BC is 5’10 175 pound Sebastian Gaspar Sebastian Gaspar 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Rutland | 2025 CAD , who is a prospect that his athletic mobility shows off a ton of fluidity with his footwork and certainly can cover some range. This young man also shows off plenty of physicality when he makes contact which should be one of the most ideal skillsets you should want out of your secondary at the next-level. For his size, I like the length of Sebastian’s steps to the ball as he shows off a DB prospect as he flies to the ball like a jackrabbit. My assumption is that this young man will be one to track this summer at camps. He also has some position flexibility in my eyes in the secondary.
Eliott Vander Horst, DL, Rutland (2025) Twitter
The first skillset that certainly popped out early on Eliott’s tape is how much feist he has in his hands while getting off blocks as I love the quick hand speed this young man brings the table early. Anytime a defensive line prospect shows off a skillset like that constantly, its a great sign for his next-level upside in my eyes, as Elliot certainly shows off long distance vision with his motor that shows a lot of gas in the tank. Even while Elliot gets double teamed a ton, he has zero quit in that motor as his fluidity in his footwork also checks my boxes for the next-level.
Wyatt Poitras Wyatt Poitras 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Okanagan Mission | 2025 State CAD , ATH, Okanagan Mission (2025) Twitter
Wyatt is an athlete that certainly shows off swiss-army knife capability on both sides of the both in my eyes. Defensively, I like how much vision this young man shows off from his early reps, as he shows excellent athletic mobility getting downhill quickly to the ball carrier. There is plenty of consistency with his downhill motor, as he shows off lengthy strides and sound positioning once he reaches into the tackle box. Although his position is tight end, this young man certainly is position-less with how dynamic he is in this Okanagan Mission offense as he’s commonly used as a slot-back that is a pain in the rear to tackle with how much durability he brings in his 6’2 215 pound frame. You have plenty of position flexibility with this young man at the next level, that is for sure college coaches.
Sam Caruth Sam Caruth 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Okanagan Mission | 2025 CAD , WR/DB, Okanagan Mission (2025) Twitter
Sam is a prospect that popped out early on tape with his catch radius in high traffic areas. The agility in the open field that Sam creates is excellent, as his twitch allows him to flip the field with all that change of direction he has at his disposal. Sam also shows off calm and collected when utilizing his vertical as consistently on tape, he wins over the secondary with his athletic balance and timing. Not to mention that defensively, I like Sam’s pursuit angles at defensive back with his ball-tracking ability in which yet again, he shows off a smooth demeanor that you can tell doesn’t get flustered. I project Sam a s wide receiver at the next-level as he is a constant battler for the ball in those high-traffic areas and can develop more burst off the top of his route to gain more separation in my eyes in the coming years as a next-level prospect.
