A explosive defensive tackle who can really fire off the ball and blow up a play in the backfield, Columbus is having a strong junior season for a Red Elephants team bound for a deep playoff run and a possibly 6A state championship. At just over 6-foot-2 and 270-pounds, Columbus isn't the biggest defensive lineman in the 2025 class, but he's absolutely been one of the most productive this season. He shows quick, strong hands and the ability to swallow up ball-carriers and sling them to the ground. Now ranked as the No. 60 overall prospect in the state, Columbus has made 53 tackles, 16 TFLs, and an eye-opening 16 sacks. A dynamic pass rusher who can create pressure from the inside, Columbus has had a true breakout season this fall and has seen some recent offers come his way from App State, Liberty, and East Carolina.

[player_tooltip player_id='1085692' first='Julius' last='Holly'] - Alpharetta

A long EDGE rusher who loves to get after the quarterback, Holly is a motivated and competitive defender who shows great pursuit of the ball carrier. He has a solid D1-caliber frame and is having a really nice junior season. Now, Holly is ranked as the No. 70 overall prospect in the state and one of the top pass-rushers in the area. Holly plays for a talented Alpharetta Raiders team and has made some big plays throughout the season so far. The 6-foot-5 225-pounder fires off the ball and consistently finds his way into the backfield. He runs well for his size and can get down the line in a hurry from the weak side. He flashes explosiveness and knows how to deliver a big hit. He's a big, versatile defender with excellent size and natural playmaking ability. He currently holds offers from Vanderbilt, Liberty, and Georgia Souther.

[player_tooltip player_id='1085674' first='Nick' last='Chao'] - Pope

An underrated 2025 defender with enough size to play both linebacker and on the defensive line, the 6-foot-3 255-pounder is one of the better defenders in the area who does his job each and every play. This is a guy who loves the game and gives everything he has out there. He's tough, physical, and knows how to help shut down the run game. He plays with good leverage and has been incredibly productive all season long, earning a new ranking in the latest update, now coming in at No. 171 in the state in the 2025 class. He's made 72 tackles, 14 TFLs, and five sacks. He gets after it and his motor allows him to make plays and tackles that other defenders don't make. He's also an excellent student in the classroom with a current 4.0 GPA. If he continues to impress, look for his ranking to increase over time.
