Jacob was as advertised on Friday night. He has great feet in the pocket, can take off and run when he needs to and is extremely smart with his choices on when to run, and overall his arm was solid. He can drop it in a bucket on a deep ball, but a couple of his touchdown passes were darts over the middle he needed to put zip on to fit it into a window, and he absolutely did that. This kid is going to be special at the next level. I’m glad to see him get the attention he has been deserving of for awhile now.

Brody shot up the boards in my eyes on Friday night. He looked really natural out there for a sophomore in a big game. He has a sizeable 6’3 frame, and looked to have very good technique. He was good when coming up to make hits in the run game, but also showed a knack for dropping back into coverage and defending the pass. He’s a young kid that has a very good base, and as he develops he could become a gamechanger!

Matthew was another prospect that I wasn’t too familiar with, but I liked what I saw. He’s patient, doesn’t get fooled by any eye candy, and gets to the hole with some power. Football IQ isn’t a concern at all with this kid, as he really seems to understand situational football when it came time. This is a strong player with good fundamentals, hopefully he gets a shot at the next level.

I had no clue this kid was a sophomore. He looked extremely natural out there running routes and making difficult catches, and reeling in a touchdown. His route running was extremely impressive. He didn’t have a tell from what I saw, the defense never really knew what route he was running, or if he was coming out for a block. I look forward to watching him continue his development, and believe coaches should definitely be keeping an eye on him as he matures.
