The Cavaliers have won 15 of the 18 meetings since 2010.<br>While Christ Church reached the state championship a sixth time last season, St. Joseph's is seeking to reach the final for the first time. <br>Once again, it's the Cavaliers who stand in the way of that achievement. The winner gets either Bamberg-Ehrhardt or Johnsonville in the Class A final Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg.<br>Here's a preview:<br><strong>No. 3 St. Joseph's (11-2) at No. 1 Christ Church (11-2)</strong><br>It's the second straight year the two Greenville rivals will meet in the Upper State final. The two teams also met this season on Sept. 22, with the Cavaliers victorious in both games.<br>Christ Church leads the all-time series 15-3.<br>Christ Church quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1013068' first='Tucker' last='Hendrix']</strong> had a field day against the Knights in the first meeting this season. He threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns, with wide receiver <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1012637' first='Jackson' last='Repp'] </strong>catching seven passes for198 yards and two scores. For the season, Hendrix has thrown for 2,198 yards and 34 touchdowns. Repp has 52 receptions for 1,272 yards and 23 touchdowns. He has 1,979 total yards and 26 touchdowns when including his rushing production. Shrine Bowl running back and team co-captain <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='267466' first='Dashun' last='Reeder']</strong> (pictured) has rushed for 1,509 yards and 26 touchdowns this season in eclipsing 4,000 career yards.<br>Head coach Quin Hatfield credits those players' production to his senior-dominated group of starting linemen. <strong>Grant Strohmaier </strong>and co-captains <strong>Lincoln Weldie</strong> and <strong>Patrick McMaster</strong> all play on both sides of the football and saw action on 120 snaps during the first matchup with St. Joseph's.<br>McMaster had 86 tackles and a team-leading six sacks on defense. Center <strong>Martin Russo</strong> and <strong>Grayson Varnadore</strong> round out the starting offensive line.<br>Inside linebacker and team co-captain <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='997188' first='Jake' last='Good']</strong> sets the tone for the Cavalier defense with a team-high 106 tackles to go with two sacks and two interceptions. He had 9 1/2 solo tackles in last week's 27-7 victory over Blackville-Hilda. <strong>Cooper Hronchek</strong> contributes at outside linebacker.<br>The secondary is led by safeties <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1012695' first='Acie' last='Hatfield']</strong> (69 tackles, two interceptions, nine pass breakups), who had a team-high 11 tackles last week, and <strong>Luke Baumhofer</strong>.<br>On special teams, kicker <strong>Hutch Paddock</strong> is 58-61 on PATs and has 43 touchbacks on the season. The Knights will look to get another big game from junior athlete <strong>Lucas Salgado</strong>. Against Southside Christian, he rushed for a touchdown on offense and had an interception on defense in the 27-14 victory over Southside Christian. <br>Quarterback <strong>Cade Alt</strong> and running back <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1013066' first='Brayden' last='Johnson']</strong> will also be counted upon to provide timely offense.
