Class A Upper State Final Preview

Only six minutes separate Christ Church Episcopal School and St. Joseph's Catholic School from each other in Greenville. Over the years, the two schools have developed a mostly one-sided rivalry. The Cavaliers have won 15 of the 18 meetings since 2010. While Christ Church reached the state championship a sixth time last season, St. Joseph's is seeking to reach the final for the first time. Once again, it's the Cavaliers who stand in the way of that achievement. The winner gets either Bamberg-Ehrhardt or Johnsonville in the Class A final Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at Oliver C. He threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns, with wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1012637' first='Jackson' last='Repp'] catching seven passes for198 yards and two scores. For the season, Hendrix has thrown for 2,198 yards and 34 touchdowns. Repp has 52 receptions for 1,272 yards and 23 touchdowns. He has 1,979 total yards and 26 touchdowns when including his rushing production. Shrine Bowl running back and team co-captain [player_tooltip player_id='267466' first='Dashun' last='Reeder'] (pictured) has rushed for 1,509 yards and 26 touchdowns this season in eclipsing 4,000 career yards. Head coach Quin Hatfield credits those players' production to his senior-dominated group of starting linemen. Grant Strohmaier and co-captains Lincoln Weldie and Patrick McMaster all play on both sides of the football and saw action on 120 snaps during the first matchup with St. Joseph's. McMaster had 86 tackles and a team-leading six sacks on defense. Center Martin Russo and Grayson Varnadore round out the starting offensive line. Inside linebacker and team co-captain [player_tooltip player_id='997188' first='Jake' last='Good'] sets the tone for the Cavalier defense with a team-high 106 tackles to go with two sacks and two interceptions. He had 9 1/2 solo tackles in last week's 27-7 victory over Blackville-Hilda. Cooper Hronchek contributes at outside linebacker. Against Southside Christian, he rushed for a touchdown on offense and had an interception on defense in the 27-14 victory over Southside Christian.
