Some of these names you have have heard of, some of them are relative newcomers but all of these players should be highly on the radar for CIS and NCAA programs looking to build their 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes.
LUCAS GAUTHIER – ATH (Seaquam Secondary – Class of 2025)
Listed 5’10” 165 lbs, Lucas is a true athlete running a laser timed 4.6s 40 yard dash and a 11.64s 100m dash in the off season before his junior season. Lining up at Rb, WR, DE, OLB during his junior season Lucas finished with 226 yards rushing on 33 carriers while also catching 5 passes for 111 yards. On offense the first thing you notice when he gets the ball in his hand is the legit FBS Power 5 speed to absolutely burn right by people. He improved greatly as a route runner and pass catcher throughout the year but he could work on his one step acceleration to become even more of a match up problem. His biggest contributions came on defense, he finished 28 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 interceptions lining up as an OLB, DE and occasional corner at times. He showed his exceptional closing ability and sure handed tackles throughout the year setting up what should be a truly dominate senior season while being the type of player who should hold multiple FBS offers.
EMMET WARD – QB (Windsor Secondary – Class of 2025)
Listed at 6’4″ 195 lbs, Emmet was the clear cut best Quarterback in AA football completing 59% of his passes for 1818 yards, 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Emmet has the arm strength to make every throw required of a future college quarterback. Emmet also has the ability to layer throws at all three levels while also being able to change his arm angle to avoid oncoming defenders and get the ball out. He displays very good pocket footwork and movement in his dropbacks that is rare for someone coming out of the province. He has the ability to scramble and run for yardage if he gets forced out of the pocket but he continues to keep his eyes down field when he leaves the pocket and he has showed the ability to throw off platform as well. He could clean up his throwing motion as it is a little bit elongated but if he cleans that up there is no reason Emmet shouldn’t be be a NCAA quarterback.
GAVIN NARWAL – DT (Seaquam Secondary – Class of 2025)
Listed at 6’1″ 235 lbs, Gavin was a everydown starter on the defensive line for the conference winning Seaquam Seahawks as a junior. He finished the season with 18 tackles and 2 sacks bouncing between playing 3 technique, 5 technique and 7 technique. Gavin has very good lower body strength and leverage off of the line to being an every down 3 technique defensive tackle while also being able to rush the passer with 5.4s 40 yard dash speed. With all the tools Gavin possesses and the compete that shows up on film there is no reason Gavin shouldn’t be a provincial all star as a senior after already being named a conference all star as a junior.
LOGAN WAGER – CB (Lord Tweedsmuir – Class of 2026)
Listed at 5’11” 163 lbs, Logan played a key role lining up as the full time starter at corner for the quarter finalist Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers as a grade 10. Playing primarily at corner Logan showcased his legit 4.7s forty speed at corner and showcased his ability to be a true shutdown corner versus some of the best receivers in the province. He was used to shadow the oppositions best receiver whenever his team required. While he did force opponents to throw away from him he for most of the season he does have some room for improvement as he can improve the fluidity of his backpedal and he can be more patient for deciding when he turns, opens and runs with a receiver. With that said Logan should be able to build off the 2023 season with a more dominant 2024 season while also being on the radar for NCAA Power 5 Schools for the class of 2026.
JASPER BARON – RB (Centennial Secondary – Class of 2026)
Listed at 5’9″ 170 lbs, Jasper became a much more featured player for a rebuilding Centennial team as a sophomore getting 38 carriers for 313 yards and 2 Touchdowns while also catching 32 passes for 373 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jasper is an all purpose back who can line up in the slot and as a running back. He posses really good straight line speed but his calling card is how agile and shifty he can be with great lower body balance control and quick acceleration. As he gets bigger he has the potential to become a future provincial MVP at the AAA level who should be a hotly recruited player.
