7A North Half Keys to Game Starkville vs. Madison Central

Last week, I put my foot in my mouth by saying they only have a decent defense. I was wrong. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='346401' first='Ryan' last='McCall'] is the leader of the defense that gets their guys going on that side of the ball. If they plan to win this game, their defense is going to have to step up big for them. I think that McCall is going to have to be relentless this game. We will see him go all out to make sure that his team gives it their all. They should have him spying [player_tooltip player_id='273258' first='Trey' last='Petty'] for this game. McCall has the skills to keep the eye on Petty that they need him to.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='691284' first='Jamison' last='Kelly'] is going to have his hands full this week. We all know that Starkville loves to throw the football. He is going to have to be ready to defend the pass a lot this week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Starkville</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Chris Jones is going to try to make this game very quick. He does not want to give Madison Central any room to breathe. That will not be an easy task. At this point of the year, he is going to ride behind his running game. [player_tooltip player_id='346421' first='Jay' last='Stevenson'] is a guy that he loves to get the ball to out of the backfield. Courtland Cooper is another running back on their team that can tote the rock. [player_tooltip player_id='273258' first='Trey' last='Petty'] is another guy that runs the ball a lot for them from his quarterback position. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='139597' first='Braylon' last='Burnside'] is a guy that can hurt Madison Central when he is on offense. However, they have so many weapons that that I do not think it is wise to double team him. Take what you get. Burnside is going to get his. Do not allow other players to hurt you in their receiver group by paying too much attention to Burnside. Again, he is going to get his no matter if he is double teamed or not.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Parker Simpson, [player_tooltip player_id='716273' first='Charles' last='Woodard'], Shiloh Johnson and [player_tooltip player_id='617336' first='Jermar' last='McCarter'] will be ready to handle their business on defense.
