6A North Half Preview Grenada vs. South Panola

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This game has great potential to be a great game. I can see this one being close. The first time they played this season, it was a tie game at halftime. South Panola is on a mission to win their 12th overall state title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>South Panola</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We all know that South Panola is going to want to control this game the way they did a few weeks ago. They have a very nice offense that is led by senior [player_tooltip player_id='346336' first='Michael' last='Johnson']. He is expected to play wide receiver on the next level, but he does a great job of holding down the quarterback position on the high school level. He is going to be out there completing a lot of passes. Juju Pope is going to be back in action. He is going to make things hard for Grenada. That is an extra element that they did not have last time.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>South Panola has a very good defense, but they are going to have to step it up as well. Grenada made a lot of mistakes hurting themselves when they played Grenada the first time this season. I do not think it is going to be wise to leave receivers unattended with corners on the islands. They got beat a few times and that could hurt them this game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Grenada</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grenada has a good team, and they can win this game. I just think they are going to have to open up their offense a lot more. It will not be easy beating this team if they decide to be conservative. [player_tooltip player_id='1217346' first='Zayion' last='Cotton'] is a receiver that they need to get the ball. Jay Williams needs to be used on offense a lot. They do not need to leave anything on the line after this game. [player_tooltip player_id='1118985' first='Charlie' last='Fair'] is a player that knows how to get the ball to his receivers. Allow him to be a playmaker as well this game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We all know Grenada has a solid defense. [player_tooltip player_id='1127532' first='Jahmani' last='Washington'] is a guy that is a great leader on this defense. They also have [player_tooltip player_id='616685' first='Aaron' last='Travis'] who is a force in the trenches. It won't be easy for South Panola to just line up and run the football.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
