I did not see anyone from this group play in person this season, but saw several of them last spring and summer at college camps and combines.
Here is a look at six quarterbacks who posted solid passing numbers in what was their final high school season for five of them.
Willie Dorsey Willie Dorsey 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Wellsville | 2024 State KS , QB, 6’2”, 168, Wellsville, ‘24
Wellsville was one of the teams I missed seeing the most. I saw Dorsey workout during the summer at college camps, but have not seen him play in game action. He threw for 2,648 yards and 39 touchdowns in 10 games played. He throws an accurate ball and understands how to exploit defenses. His recruitment is still open. He has college offers and has made several college visits including to Kansas University and Baker University.
Hudson Ferralez Hudson Ferralez 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Wichita Collegiate | 2024 State KS , QB, 6’1”, 205, Wichita Collegiate, ‘24
Ferralez had an outstanding senior season at Collegiate after transferring from Hesston. He threw for 2,590 yards in 11 games played and connected on 32 touchdown completions. He has quick feet in the pocket and can throw a deep ball. The last I checked he was still uncommitted and had at least one offer from an instate JUCO program.
Harvey Zimmerman Harvey Zimmerman 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Trinity Academy | 2024 State KS , QB, 6’2”, 200, Trinity Academy (Wichita), ‘24
Zimmerman eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark in passing during his senior season. In nine games played, he threw for 15 touchdowns and rushed for 10. His overall numbers were down from his junior season, but this young man knows how to run an offense and should get the chance to run one at the college level.
Aiden Milliren Aiden Milliren 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Bishop Ward | 2025 State KS , QB, 6’0”, 160, Bishop Ward, ‘25
One of the top junior quarterbacks in Class 3A plays for Bishop Ward. Milliren threw for 1,790 yards and 19 touchdowns in nine games for the Cyclones. Watching his Hudl highlights he has a really nice touch and can run a one-back spread offense, which is all the rage now at the college level.
Tra Mack Tra Mack 5'11" | 155 lbs | QB Parsons | 2024 State KS , QB/CB, 5’11”, 150, Parsons, ‘24
Mack helped guide the Parsons Vikings to a winning season. During his senior campaign, he threw for 1.702 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has three straight seasons of over 1,000 yards worth of completions. He can also play cornerback. His recruitment is wide open and NAIA and JUCO programs should be looking to add this athlete to their rosters.
Luke Edwards Luke Edwards 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Santa Fe Trail | 2024 State KS , QB, 6’1”, 170, Santa Fe Trail, ‘24
Edwards is a quarterback who would be garnering more attention if he played for a bigger program. He threw for 1,671 yards in 10 games played for the Chargers. He also threw for 21 touchdowns and rushed for nine. Edwards can really sling the ball. He also shows off his arm strength on the baseball field as a pitcher and shortstop.
