<p>West Side is on top of the 2A ranks as they are the 2023 State Champions. In the ultra competitive 2A which had multiple contenders for the title it was the Pirates who were able to dominant through the playoffs and beat some really good teams on their way to the title. Using a mixture of a special run game led by [player_tooltip player_id='725744' first='Parker' last='Moser'] who was able to rush for over a hundred yards on 18 carries. Crew Sage had two interceptions on the night for a dominant defense that held Declo to under 200 yards of total offense for most of the game. West Side showed that no matter what happens during the season whether you have big wins or tough loses that if you band together as a team you can achieve greatness at the end. This Pirate team showed that it wasn't going to be just one phenomenal effort by one individual but a collective group of young men who worked together in order to achieve their highest goal. </p>
