2024 Slept On Defensive Backs

Some of these guys are playing out of position right now to help their high school teams. I think that this class has some studs all over the board that have been overlooked. He is an aggressive guy that also can line up and cover. This is a player that can be very versatile in the secondary. He has the toughness to come up and make big hits. He has the grit that you need a safety to have when holding a tight end. Goss also has the ability to drop down in the slot and hold a smaller receiver. He is a player that does a great job of covering his side of the field. Rogers is a guy that also does not mind making tackles. He is a gritty player that plays with a lot of confidence. Laurel will host Provine in the first round of the 5A playoffs tonight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='503391' first='Coledan' last='Carter'] </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carter is an absolute dog that loves to come up and hit. Carter is in the second round of the 5A playoffs. He is a bad boy that also has improved his covering skills. I think that he is a guy that may take the JUCO route first to develop some more. He needs to hit the weightroom hard and get a lil faster. I truly feel like he is a division one prospect. McGruder is one of the most polished cornerbacks in the state. He also plays with a lot of confidence. He is a player that knows how to use his body to his advantage. McGruder also has some decent speed. His team has advanced to the second round of the playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
