Payton Matthews
Payton Matthews
Payton Matthews has managed to rack up 918 receiving yards this season with 11 touchdowns not including his rushing touchdowns from when he lines up in the backfield. He’s probably the quietest most dynamic WR in the city of San Antonio right now and a kid who can play all over the field on offense. He already has two offers one from UTSA and the other from Texas State but I expect that to sky rocket once the season is over.
You’re looking for a guy who can go up and get the ball that’s none other than Luke Valdez Luke Valdez 6’2″ | 180 lbs | TE TMI Episcopal | 2024 State TX this 6’2 190lb senior has managed to rack up 897 yards with 5 touchdowns to go along with it. Now 5 touchdowns might not be a lot but that doesn’t mean this young man isn’t productive when he’s on the field. With the season nearing an end I look for Valdez to rake in at least 2-3 more touchdowns before its all said and done and maybe even go over 1,000 yards on the season.
King Johnson
King Johnson
King Johnson has been lights out for Claudia Johnson HS in San Antonio raking in 790 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. With Kings athletic ability and ability to make plays I believe before it’s all said and done this season plus the playoffs he can bring in 3-4 more touchdowns and get close to 1,000 yards maybe even over behind the strong arm of his amazing QB TCU commit Ty Hawkins Ty Hawkins 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB San Antonio Johnson | 2025 State TX .
Jayden Almen
Jayden Almen
Jayden Almen might not be the biggest WR in his class but he racking up some of the biggest touchdowns in 6A this season hauling in 13 touchdowns with 807 yards to go with it. Almen is pretty shifty with the ball in his hands an knows how to get things done in space.
Austin Viver
Austin Viver
Austin Viver is a do it all type of ATH as you will see him line up at WR, RB, KR, PR and even punter this kid can get it done. Last week Viver had a punt blocked as he was a punting and managed to catch it mid air and return it 99 yards for a touchdown. Viver has 681 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season but it’s not uncommon for this young man to find the endzone. Looking forward to him finishing strong on the season and moving on to the next level.
