CAMDEN | [player_tooltip player_id='448977' first='Seneca' last='Moore'] is a known commodity on the defense side of the football. In fact, the Crestwood linebacker has done enough defensively to earn a spot in the Touchtone Energy North-South All-Star game in December.

What people hadn't seen was his ability to run the ball. Moore (pictured) rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries and [player_tooltip player_id='997149' first='Azarian' last='Yates'] added 124 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 34 carries to lift the Knights to a 34-28 victory over Camden Friday night.

The victory gives Crestwood (8-1, 4-0) the Region 6-3A championship. It snapped the Bulldogs four-year stranglehold on the championship and 20-game region winning streak.

“We've come a long way this year. We worked hard and we did it,” Moore said. “We had to do something against Camden and their scheme. We put in a package called heavy. We put everything together to get the W.”

Moore only had 38 yards rushing on six carries before Friday night. But he was unleashed in the second half and his 58-yard jaunt after a nearly 45-minute lightning delay set up the game-winning 1-yard TD run by Yates with 4:18 remaining. That gave the Knights a 34-22 lead.

Yates did the inside work with Moore being more of an outside threat behind the blocking of Aidan Mack, Armante Bradford, Santiago Jamies, Connor Speller-Snell, Lorenzo Smallwood, Jayden Glover, Jaheim Jones, and Louis Maddison. The rushing attack accounted for 279 yards.

“The things they do in the secondary kind of prevented us from doing much in the passing game,” Crestwood coach Roosevelt Nelson said. “We wanted to focus on the run game. We challenged the offensive line and I think they answered the call.”

Crestwood quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='589009' first='Javion' last='Martin'], who came in with 1,779 yards passing this season, finished 8-of-14 for 145 yards and one interception. Kyle Mitchell was the top target with three catches for 61 yards. [player_tooltip player_id='1012863' first='Jeremie' last='Richardson'] added three receptions for 58 yards and Khalil Moody added two catches for 26 yards.

The outcome was in doubt until the final minute. [player_tooltip player_id='139311' first='Grayson' last='White'] finished 11-of-24 for 168 yards. His 17-yard TD pass, his third of the night, to Maxwell Ford brought Camden within 34-28 with 2:58 remaining.

The Bulldogs got the ball back with 1:07 remaining after a fourth down stop. But on the first play, Moody made a diving interception to seal it. Moody was also selected to the Touchstone Energy North-South All-Star game.

Camden (6-3, 3-1) had big plays in the passing game. White also threw a 25-yard TD pass to Adian Heriot and an 18-yard TD strike to [player_tooltip player_id='448982' first='Jaquarius' last='Mayrant']. JoJo Crim added an 84-yard kickoff return in the final seconds of the first half that made it 14-all at the break.

Crestwood's front of Moore, [player_tooltip player_id='1142845' first='Brandon' last='Cowell'], [player_tooltip player_id='589017' first='Javion' last='Lammie'] and Robert Pugh limited the Bulldogs to 63 yards rushing.
