Anthony Benedict has brought the run game to life for his offense with big runs out of the backfield. Benedict is a shifty back that makes smooth cuts to lose defenders around the line of scrimmage and has good burst to gain chunk yardage. He shows good patience behind his blockers to follow where the openings are for positive yardage. Shows good speed in open space to finish off long runs. Has a compact size that he uses to his advantage. makes cuts low with his hips centered to slip pst defenders playing up at the line. Good runner around the edge, turns up field while maintaining speed to get extra yardage near the sidelines. Can take low hits and keep his legs moving for better gains. Shows toughness to absorb hits and use his flexibility to stretch for an extra yard or two. Understands the scheme running out of the RPO, times up exchange well with good understanding with his quarterback. Has been getting better each week of his junior season to bring depth to the offense. Benedict is a back on the rise in Northeast Ohio with another season to go.

Brandon Liepins
Brandon Liepins is a big, physical quarterback with a strong arm to open up the passing game down field. Liepins showcases a strong arm with good accuracy on throws in the third level that allow his receivers to go up and get the ball. Fits the mold of a solid pocket passer who will always look to deliver passes under pressure. Delivers the ball good velocity, drives off his back foot with good shoulder rotation to hit receivers with little separation. Goes through his reads with efficiency, has mobility to move well in the pocket and make throws when coverage starts to breakdown. Good thrower on rollouts on first level throws in short yardage situations. Keeps his offense on schedule with quick passes out of cuts to keep his offense flowing. When the pressure is too much or the coverage is too sound, he shows good ability to take off running. Is a hard runner to bring down, physical at contact with the ability to take a hit and keep moving. Background as a linebacker as well, is a tough leader on his offense. Liepins puts up good yardage per game and shows a lot of poise to lead his team with a number of big games left to play.

Antuan Gardner Antuan Gardner 6’0″ | 205 lbs | RB Niles McKinley | 2024 State OH has established himself as one of the most dominant running backs in the state of Ohio for his ability to make defenders miss. Gardner has been developing his game over the past few seasons to become one of the most complete backs you will see. Has as good of balance in his running stride you will see out of a playmaker which allows him to break through arm tackles with relative ease while maintaining form. Has quick feet to keep his balance when contact is brought upon him, naturally gifted athlete in that regard. Keeps his hips low on cuts with an explosive lower body to launch himself towards open space. Slippery on runs between the tackles, does not need much daylight to create a running lane for himself. He is a hard target to bring down with mobility and strength in his arsenal to keep the play going. Effective in the passing game, acts as another receiver with routes that take him out of the backfield. Gardner has amassed nearly 1,200 yards through seven weeks of the season and showing no signs of slowing down. He is one of the best in the state at running the ball with good size that more college coaches should be watching.

Ryan Ricketti
Ryan Ricketti has become the top target in one of the best scoring offenses in the state as a surgical route runner with a strong set of hands to haul in passes all over his body. Ricketti is a smart receiver that flows with his quarterback on long rollouts to keep himself as an option on plays. Demonstrates great flexibility to adjust his body to the ball to make catches that are difficult for most high school players. Plays out of the slot, extends the middle of the field like few other receivers can with good speed. Is a good runner after the catch, effective on screen passes and quick-hitting routes. Maintains a good sense of awareness on deep routes to quickly spot a ball thrown his way to position himself under it. An impact player on special teams in the return game, uses his shiftiness to make moves at top speed. Plays defensive back as well as an all-around gamer looking to make an impact any way he can. Ricketti is a gamer on an exciting offense that has put up nearly 1,100 all-purpose yards and a dozen touchdowns. He plays hard every time he takes the field and is always a threat to make a highlight reel play.
