At the moment, there is no particular order that they are put into. I just want to give awareness to all the ones that I have seen that have D1 talent and have flashed early in their young careers. There will be more that show up in the coming years as everyone matures and are located by the scouts and coaches alike.
5’9 170 | Running Back | Brandon High School
Robinson is lighting in a bottle at the running back position. Dating back to his peewee days, he has been excelling for a long time in football; as I’ve heard his name well before he made it to the high school ranks. He got his first action vs one of the best teams in the state, Oak Grove, and he did not disappoint. He came out of that game with 163 total yards, 3 catches for 100 yards, and 5 carries for 63 yards with 2 touchdowns. It all was a beauty to watch as he made big plays when they needed him to time after time. As shown in his first varsity action, he is a very versatile back that makes it tough on a defense to stop. Being able to have such a big game in a tough game speaks volumes to his maturity. Also, hats off to his dad, who is his mentor. He plays for a really good coach that understands how to get his best players in the best position to win. The trajectory that this kid is really good and only going to get better as he gets older. In his 1st 4 varsity games, he has 284 all purpose yards and 4 touchdowns. I can’t wait to watch his career unfold.
Kevin Marshall
6′ 160 | Defensive Back | Pascagoula High School
From watching clips he has posted on “X” and his junior high film, Marshall is one explosive athlete. When he zeros in on a tackle, he explodes through offensive guys. With the aggressive way he plays the game and hard hitting safety, he would fit in the mode of a young version of Ronnie Lott . He also possesses some pretty nice hands to go along with his hard hitting ability. He has a good grasp on the game, his IQ is pretty high, and he diagnoses plays pretty quickly. He has had a good freshman season. This kid’s speed is a strength for him. Judging from his junior high film and clips that are public, he has some offensive value . He has special team value as well. So, look for Marshall’s name to start ringing pretty soon.. In my opinion, he has national prospect written all over his trajectory.
JaMarrion’ Jackson
5’7 130 | Athlete | Jackson Academy
Jackson is on the smaller side, but do not let that fool you. He is one of those kids that you have to take heart over height. He plays the game very hard and is a pretty talented kid. He has value at all 3 phases of the game coming out of junior high, and it has carried over to junior high plus high school. He recently won the 6A junior varsity championship at Jackson Academy, and he was huge part of it. If there is an MVP award that goes out this year at their banquet, his name will be on that ballot. He played receiver, running back, defensive back, and return man for the Raiders at a high level. He has above average route running, good cutting ability when at running back, and above average catching ability. Without knowing the accurate number, he had a nice amount of interceptions this year and over 10 touchdowns on the season. He played in his first varsity game last week and had an interception. This kid is one to keep your eyes on to track his career. Colleges are tilting towards offering more smaller players like Deuce Vaughn of the Dallas Cowboys. He should have a really good high school career.
6’1 160 | Athlete | Hamilton High School
Willis is one of the better athletes in this class, if not the best one. So far, this class is one of the better “athletic” group of kids. He has pretty good height and speed to play either defensive back or receiver at the high school level. He was mostly used on the defensive side of the ball at corner, and he did not disappoint. He started all season, putting up 23 tackles, 4 tackle for loss, 7 pass deflections, 1 interception, and a kick off return for a touchdown. He also averaged 14 yards a catch on the offensive side of the ball, so he affects the game in all 3 phases as well like some of the prospects on this list. Along with football, Willis is one of the best basketball players in the state, if not the best. He carries over a lot of the same traits, which make him good in football. I personally love when athletes can figure out one sport and translate it to the other sport; making them elite. Willis is a future star in the making at both sports. Stay tuned for this kid’s future.
