Continue ReadingWeek 6 gave us some great performances from players who showed off their skills and talent. We had some outstanding defensive performances from guys who set the tone early, and were non stop aggressors for the entire game. We also had skill players do what they do best, and take over a game with their dynamic and jaw dropping abilities. All of the players listed had their fingerprints on the team win and for that, they are receiving this recognition. These guys are doing it week in and week out so remember their names!
Omar Khan Omar Khan 6'5" | 280 lbs | DL Bridgeland | 2024 State | Bridgeland | DL | 2024
Khan was a force on the line of scrimmage vs Cy Falls. He plugged up running lanes, set the edge, and applied pressure the entire night. Khan consistently disengaged from blocks and made big stops in the backfield. He managed to get a key punt block in a defensive battle that helped his team get the win.
Michael Wilson | Klein Collins | RB | 2024
Wilson showed his skill, elusiveness, and power vs Tomball Memorial. He slashed through run lanes and hit the corners for big gains that helped keep the Tigers on track offensively. On crucial downs, Wilson got the call and did not disappoint. He ran for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, and was a key part in the big win.
Braelon Green | Mayde Creek | DB | 2024
Green made an impact early in the game vs. Seven Lakes with his ability to make acrobatic catches on the defensive side. His long frame and ball skills helped him track the ball and get big time, drive stopping interceptions that helped seal the win for his team.
Mason Faye | Klein Collins | DL | 2024
Faye was living in the backfield and applied pressure for majority of the night vs. Tomball Memorial. He showed his strength and power, driving linemen back, maintaining his rush lanes, and getting to the ball. Faye showed great pursuit and effort, and showed that once he has a hold on you, there is no getting away.
Tanner West | Jordan | RB | 2026
West showed his playmaking abilities once again. He showed how lethal he is with the ball in his hands and how he makes an already high powered offense even more dangerous. West took a screen pass 75 yards to the house, outrunning the entire defense, and had 2 other touchdowns on the night. He was hitting the lanes with force and refused to go down easily, as he helped his team get the win on the night.
