The playoffs are a few short weeks away in the state of Arkansas. Today we are going to look at some prospects that have the potential to put up some big performances on Friday night this week. As always, we are going to take a look around the state and highlight plenty of prospects to watch out for this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='209859' first='Parker' last='Brown']-Running Back-Heber Springs-2025

The Heber Springs running back has earned all-conference honors for the past two seasons. Brown does a great job of picking his rushing lanes and exploding through the hole into the second level. Heber Springs has made excellent use of Brown this season and I expect that trend to continue for this Friday. He is a running back that just gets strong as the game progresses and the game against Harding Academy will be a good test this Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060603' first='Ayden' last='Lester']-Quarterback-Farmington-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1060603' first='Ayden' last='Lester'] has opened plenty of eyes this season as the Farmington signal caller. Last week, Lester had his best game against Shiloh Christian. The Farmington quarterback was 16-of-23 for 243 yards through the air. However, Lester got it going with the ground attack as well on Friday. Lester rushed 8 times for 75 yards against the Saints. He is a player to watch out for this week as he looks to keep the momentum going.

[player_tooltip player_id='181497' first='Preston' last='Davis']-Linebacker-Little Rock Christian-2024

Over the past few years, [player_tooltip player_id='181497' first='Preston' last='Davis'] has been one of the most consistent linebackers in the state of Arkansas. Davis has the speed to drop back into pass coverage. He does a great job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Davis gets off of blocks quickly and has no problems hauling down the ball carrier. Davis is a player to watch out for this Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='502978' first='Carter' last='Zimmerman']-Quarterback-Fort Smith Southside-2024

[player_tooltip player_id='502978' first='Carter' last='Zimmerman'] has had an impressive 2023 football season for the Mavericks. He has done an excellent job of spreading the ball around to his wide receivers. Zimmerman is able to extend the play and does a great job of using his legs to extend the play. He is a signal caller that looks to make the throw and will not be sloppy with the football. The Southside signal caller is a player to watch out for this Friday night.

Zane Widener-Running Back-Clinton-2024

Zane Widener is a running back that runs with a chip on his shoulder. He looks to punish opposing defenders when they attempt to tackle him. Widener had a strong performance last Friday and I look for that trend to continue into this week. The powerful running back is a prospect to watch out for as the season winds down. Widener has the potential to put up some big numbers this week.
