HOLDINGFORD-MINN-- After Friday night's game, we narrowed down our game notes (and had to let them dry) to answer the following question: Who were the Big Dogs of the Game from the Holdingford Huskers? It came in hard-fought fashion, however I was impressed with the amount of prospects I had come in on my notepad from the Huskers. Let's get to meet our Big Dogs of the Game from Holdingford.

Masyn Patrick, ATH. Holdingford (2026)

It didn't matter which side of the ball he lined up on, 2026 athlete Masyn Patrick's was a prospect that was consistent on all three levels of the field in my eyes for the Huskers. This kid is an example of a swiss-army knife that was productive in the running game as a slot-back, and also was consistent coming up a level of the field to assist his linebackers defensively with how much depth this kid can cover with his range and athleticism he brings at 5'11 160 pounds, however plays bigger than what those measureables show you. Masyn also showed off offensively as a prospect that has strong hands and shows off a smooth demeanor as a pass catcher.

Kolton Harren, LB, Holdingford (2026)

One of the defensive underclassmen standouts from Friday night's game at Holdingford, was 6'0 175 pound linebacker Kolton Harren, who caught my attention especially in the first half with his skillsets. I liked this young man's awareness for his age, as a linebacker that played with plenty of upside to grow. Another skilset that popped out about Kolton was how rangy he was with his footwork, as a linebacker you can tell is going to continue to develop a longer presence over the coming years around the edges of the field. Kolton is a prospect we will have to wait and see as far as his tape goes but his early wrestling background also intrigues me about this young man, as he went to the 9th grade state tournament for wrestling.

Brandon Hall, WR, Holdingford (2025)

A wide receiver prospect that I could tell was coming into his own on Friday night was Holdingford 2025 wide receiver Brandon Hall. The 6'0 150 pound junior, showed off well-versed instincts with his footwork along the sidelines sealing the edge multiple times for key pass catches for the Huskers offense. You tell that this kid has some upside to grow, but with what he showed off in the first half as a prospect that was a new name to my radar he showed quick growth in some pressing drives for the Huskers and this was a WR that I like his ceiling with another one year and change left to develop in his football career.

Holdingford was lead up front in their defensive trenches by 6'1 230 pound senior defensive linemen David Heinen. He impressed me with his vision in short areas, and also for his size was a defensive linemen prospect that I really liked his motor for that compatible frame that would fit the position at the next-level. David also showed off a big punting leg as well on Friday night, as he bombed a 52-yard punt with good hangtime, and not much bounce out of those yards.

Luke Bieniek, RB/LB Holdingford (2025) Twitter

The first name I had circled once I arrived to Holdingford on Friday night was 5'11 170 pound running back Luke Bieniek and his play lived up to the hype in my eyes on Friday night. I loved watching this young man's burst and agility in my in-person evaluation as I thought he popped out more in a game setting than what the tape shows off. He also demonstrated what a strong pass-catcher he was as he had multiple big-play catches for the Huskers with two receiving touchdowns for big amounts of yards showing off what a playmaker Luke is. Certainly one of my favorite small-school running backs that Central Minnesota has to offer in the 2025 class.

Drew Lange, QB/LB, Holdingford (2024)

Drew was one my highest grading prospects from Friday night for Holdingford, due to his presence on both sides of the ball as this kid is a dynamic playmaker no matter where he was on the field. His quarterback plays showed off a quick release that continued to improve I thought over my time in Holdingford, however the biggest standout skillset was how instinctive Drew was getting to the outside as a runner, as consistently Drew showed off the reactive instinct I like from a dual-threat quarterback that can pave his own way in the open field. Defensively, I believe if he gets a next-level opportunity, it should be at linebacker as I thought Drew showed his best vision and was certainly a ball-hawk with how many tackles he made on Friday night as you constantly heard his name over the speakers on Friday night in Holdingford as a 6'0 180 pound athlete that has one baseball offer from St. Cloud State, but is still waiting for a football opportunity.
