The senior Clayborn (6’0″ 250) had one of the best games of a defensive linemen I have seen this season. His play went beyond his numbers of 7 total tackles and 2 sacks, as the explosive lineman was disruptive in the backfield with his his constant pressure and ability to effect both the pass and run game. Cam is super quick and has a great get off when the ball is snapped. It’s difficult for most offensive linemen to handle his level of athleticism, speed and explosiveness. Combine that with his strength and it explains why he is among the top players at his position in his class in the state.
Dominique Dixon
The transfer linebacker from East St. Louis has been a big part of the Lions defensive success this season. Dixon was flying around the field making big hits and helping shut down a very good Hillsboro offense for much of the day. Dominique finished with 8 total tackles and a big sack on the day, and played his role in the talented Ritter defense perfectly. He is another fast, playmaking defender that is a big piece of the puzzle.
Vinaz Cobb
Junior S/OLB prospect Cobb (6’2″205) is another terrific addition to a defensive backfield already loaded with D1 talent. Vinaz looked the part as well against Hillsboro with his physical defensive play. He finished with 6 total tackles, 1 sack and an interception as he displayed great coverage skills along with his physical play against the run and ability to rush the quarterback. He has good size and speed to go along with his solid overall skill set.
Michael Eiland
The (6’3″ 220) senior Eiland gives the talented defensive front of Clayborn and Charles Brooks another defensive lineman who can bring pressure and also play strong against the run. As good as their offense is, the Lions owe just as much success to their talented defense. Eliland had 7 total tackles and a sack in helping lead the Lions to a win. He’s quick and fast off the edge.
HILLSBORO
Payton Brown

As good as Brown is running the ball on offense, he is just as talented if not more playing his linebacker position. He has great speed, lateral quickness and runs downhill on his hits and tackles. He had one impressive play running from the opposite side of the field and delivering a big hit to plant the ball carrier into the turf. He could play on either side of the ball at the next level at one of the multiple D1 schools recruiting him. Payton (6’1″ 205) finished as the leading tackler for Hillsboro with 11 total tackles.
Chase Sucharski
the (6’0″ 190) Sucharski is primarily known for his outstanding play at a receiver on offense, but he is just as capable on the other side of the ball as a safety or linebacker. Chase is quick and has good speed and used those attributes to 5 total tackles and a sack for the Hawks defense.
