Grenada vs. South Panola Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These two teams are getting ready to face off for the 1-6A District Championship. I will be in attendance. This is a game a lot of people are ready to see. These two teams are not unfamiliar with each other. Let's check it out. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Grenada</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grenada has a lot to ride on this year. [player_tooltip player_id='1118985' first='Charlie' last='Fair'] is doing an amazing job at quarterback. I told a lot of people he will be an X factor for this team this year. He has been just that. They also have Macaleb Taylor handling his business at running back. Taylor is a very hard runner that knows how to get his yards. Taylor is going to be making some noise this week. They also have [player_tooltip player_id='1217346' first='Zayion' last='Cotton']. A 2026 wide receiver who I think can be a big force on their offense. He is a guy I would be trying to get the ball to every time I need a big play in the air. Jay Williams is another player that is very explosive on this offense. Jayvon Herron is a guy to watch as well. Their offense is loaded.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grenada has a nice defense as well. [player_tooltip player_id='616685' first='Aaron' last='Travis'] is a defensive lineman that is committed to Southern Miss. He does a great job in their run defense. [player_tooltip player_id='1127532' first='Jahmani' last='Washington'] and [player_tooltip player_id='920561' first='Sema'j' last='Avery'] are two linebackers on this team that knows how to lead on that side of the ball. Jay Williams is a player that has six interceptions this season. He does not mind taking those interceptions back to the house he is a beast.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>South Panola</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>South Panola is on a roll this season. They are doing some great things out there on the field. They are undefeated with their only loss coming to Oxford. [player_tooltip player_id='346336' first='Michael' last='Johnson'] is going to be their man on offense. He is a guy they look to for making big plays for them on offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>South Panola is known to play with a very stout defense. They love to fly to the football. I'm anxious to see how they plan to attack Grenada's offense. I can see them looking to apply a lot of pressure. If Juju Pope is playing, he will be holding down the defense for them. We may even see Johnson playing both ways now that it is playoff time.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
