The stretch run in the CSRA is going to be something else.

The area's top players are rising to the top week after week, and the opening weeks of region play have proven them only more valuable. In Week 7, two quarterbacks, three tailbacks and two defensive linemen absolutely did their thing in big wins for their respective teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'] RB, North Augusta - Every year, the Yellow Jackets just appear to start clicking come region play. While they have a big showdown with upstart Midland Valley to wrap up the regular season, Doe is making sure North Augusta is staying in the conversation. Against Aiken, the tailback rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in the 35-19 win. It gave him 843 yards and 12 touchdowns this season with two regular-season games and the playoffs to go.

[player_tooltip player_id='464885' first='Chanston' last='Crosby'] QB, Bamberg-Ehrhardt - Crosby is heating up at exactly the right time. In the blowout win over Branchville, he threw for another 282 yards and three scores while rushing for another touchdown. Or, how about this? Since he verbally committed to Georgia State on September 19, this is his stat line: 46-of-65 passing (70.1 percent), 876 yards, eight passing touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='997288' first='Nick' last='Folk'] RB, Bamberg-Ehrhardt - Yeah, Folk is back. A little over a month after breaking a bone in his foot and having surgery to speed up his recovery, Folk didn't just return to the field. Against Branchville, the tailback used his six carries to rush for 165 yards and three touchdowns. That's huge for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, which can now shift multiple players back to their regular positions for the stretch run.

Quan Edmonds QB, Strom Thurmond - Edmonds led the Rebels to a every bit of a statement region victory over Saluda, Thurmond winning 48-3 against one of the other three top region foes. In the process, Edmonds was an efficient 11-of-15 passing for 182 yards, three touchdowns and no picks. What's more, those three scoring throws went to three different receivers - [player_tooltip player_id='1254050' first='Jay' last='Sewell'], [player_tooltip player_id='208338' first='Braylon' last='Staley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='771039' first='Demarius' last='Tolen'] - keeping the Saluda defense from locking in solely on Staley.

[player_tooltip player_id='451249' first='Jaydon' last='Eason'] and [player_tooltip player_id='139299' first='Jordan' last='Boyd'] DL, Silver Bluff - Eason and Boyd prevented Batesburg-Leesville from pulling the upset in a closer-than-expected matchup. Eason, the defensive tackle, officially ended up with 10 tackles, six tackles for loos, 1.5 sacks and three quarterback pressures. Boyd, the defensive end, added nine tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, three quarterback pressures and a pass breakup.

[player_tooltip player_id='605527' first='Jaquel' last='Holman'] RB, Blackville-Hilda - Another week, another huge performance for the first-year Hawk tailback. Holman (pictured) put up 247 yards and four touchdowns in the lopsided win over Ridge Spring-Monetta. It wasn't his best yardage output of the year (that came a week ago when he ran for 287 against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler), but against the Trojans he needed just 12 carries. That means he scored every three times he touched the ball and averaged 20.6 yards per carry.
