Brandon Mcreynolds
Brandon Mcreynolds
I was impressed with Mcreynolds’s ability to hold up at the line of scrimmage. Most of time, just one offensive lineman wasn’t enough to be able to move Mcreynolds off his point. Even when the offense would call a wide zone read, Mcreynolds showed the ability to stay on the line of scrimmage while moving towards the ball carrier. Typically to move Mcreynolds it required two offensive linemen, which was hard for most teams to afford.
If you watch Garrett play, his athleticism jumps at you. First thing that jumps at you is his speed. He can easily run with any receiver and stays connected at the hip. His acceleration is quite impressive as well. He has nice fluid hips. Garrett has no issue going from a smooth backpedal to turning and running with the receiver. Once he gets the ball in his hands, he’s a threat to take it back.
Highlights
Kaleb Foster
Kaleb Foster
Time and time again, Foster’s film shows him making highly contested catches in traffic across the middle of the field. Foster doesn’t shy away from oncoming or trailing defenders and has sturdy hands in tight windows. He plays with physicality and does well to track back towards the quarterback and snare the ball from his coverage. His frequent alignment in the split results in a lot of routes going towards the middle of the field. However, he is solid at gaining enough separation because of his ability to change direction sharply.
Zane Smith
Zane Smith
Zane Smith is no stranger to taking down the ball carrier. He seems to be part of every tackle when watching Moody High School play. He is a sound tackler and engages the ball carrier with aggression and strength. Smith wraps up and doesn’t rely on his force to bring the ball carrier down. College coaches will not have to coach him up here at all.
Ryan Reese Ryan Reese 6’2″ | 260 lbs | OL Ramsay | 2025 State AL is very fast off the snap, already getting in the offensive lineman’s face before they get out of their stance. This is a result of timing the snap and superior footwork. This allows him to get off the line and have amazing quickness off the ball. This gives him an advantage against offensive lineman by making them unbalanced off the line, because they did not expect how fast he is.
