The midway point is here, and football is on the verge of birthing new stars. The 2027 class has been a pleasant surprise by offering some mature skillsets, bodies, and playmakers on both sides of the ball. Let's take a look at some frequent fliers who have been consistently checking the boxes.

Cameron Nunley I 2027 I Pro Style QB I 5'11 150 I Conroe

Cameron Nunley has been a pleasant surprise for the 27' class and his program at the quarterback position. With the unfortunate injury bug biting the Conroe Tiger team early on, Nunley's older brother [player_tooltip player_id='721675' first='Christian' last='Nunley'] suffered an injury setback which thrusted the younger brother into action. Though slight of frame, the southpaw signal caller proved to play big and be extremely accurate in intermediate pass delivery responsibilities. The ball seems to flick out of his hands as he showed the poise to stand in the pocket and take a hit while delivering said ball. Nunley can be observed actually scanning the field and progressing through reads to make the right play instead of improvising and hoping that the play works out. A true field general, look for this pocket gymnast to continue to improve and gain confidence as the days ahead approach. When this happens, little Nunley is going to be a major problem on Friday night for a long time to come....

[player_tooltip player_id='721674' first='Cayden' last='Williams'] I 2027 I ATH I 6'0 173 I Conroe

[player_tooltip player_id='721674' first='Cayden' last='Williams'] is built like a Junior in high school already. Standing at 6 feet, weighing 173 pounds, benching 225 pounds, and squatting over 300 pounds; this kid is a load at the quarterback, linebacker, and safety positions. After training with JP Tillman, "The Quarterback Tech" in Houston, Texas, Williams is swiftly gaining control over that big arm and combining it with his exceptional running abilities. He is a touchdown waiting to happen for his program and takes that signal caller knowhow to the opposite side of the ball and is able to analyze formations and play concepts quickly. This aids him with linebacker and safety reads and the rest is chalked up to speed, power, instincts, and a nose for the ball. The true question is what position Williams will solidify himself at as he continues to develop and perform. Star rankings are definitely in this kid's near future. Remember that you heard it here first.

Jahnai Weaver I 2027 I ATH/WR I 5'8 150 I Westlake HS

Jahnai Weaver already has a Georgia Bulldogs offer; enough said! This kid can ball with the best of them! At the receiver position, Weaver is stellar with his route running combination utilized in tandem with his ability to extend play production through speed, vision, and instincts with the ball in his hands. Weaver is a threat anywhere on the field and in the return game. He seems to keep a mindset to house anything that permits him to have the ball in his hands. Weaver embodies the total makeup of what D1 programs look for and has the ability that some juniors and seniors strive for and yet never obtain. Keep an eye on this one; maybe even two.

Delyn Jorame I 2027 I LB I 5'10 170 I Naples HS

Delyn Jorame is a 2027 linebacker who is a perfect combination of old school build and aggression with new school coverage ability. Jorame can play within the box and track the ball via reading keys and also drop into coverage like a safety and break out the straps. He is an intentional hitter and plays with a fire that lets the opposition know that this LB loves embodying the gladiator mentality. Already possessing good size, we project Jorame to continue to shine. The question is will he stay at linebacker or bump back to the safety position due to the range of his particular skillset. Jorame is definitely one to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1055210' first='Ayo' last='Omotosho'] I 2027 I WR | 5'10 160 I Memorial HS

[player_tooltip player_id='1055210' first='Ayo' last='Omotosho'] is the show for his team; no pun intended! Omotosho is a pure route specialist for his age and is a big play maker instead of a good playmaker. He possesses soft hands and a variety of releases off of the line. Omotosho completes the catch with his eyes and utilizes a good wingspan to reach for passes over the defense for potential "headtoping" action. Omotosho also shows the route running IQ of knowing when to stretch the stem of the route deep in contrast to flattening the route out of the break to find the soft window in the coverage. I predict big things for this young man.
