Julian Navarette
Navarette is a young prospect that already has a high school championship under his belt. He is a lefty that is also seeing interests from division one schools at an early age. I like the way that he knows how to get the football out on time. He is also very elusive and knows how to extend plays. His release is quick, but it could be quicker. He has some decent footwork in the pocket. I like the way that he keeps his feet moving at times. He is only a freshman, so we all know that there are a lot of things that he needs to polish up as quarterback. Navarette is a dual threat guy that I think has a great chance to play division one football one day. Navarette is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound guy out of Champion High School in Boerne, Texas.
Black is a player that has a lot of potential. I am very excited that he reached out to us. This young man is already 6-foot-1, and he is 180 pounds. He plays at Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas. He is a player that I am impressed with. Black is a guy that I think will grow into a nice linebacker one day. He has that contact courage that I like to see. He knows how to get runners to the ground. Black is not out there trying to make a lot of arm tackles. He likes to get his shoulders busy. Be sure to keep up with this kid.
Unger is a guy that has continued to polish. He knows how to protect his teammates. He is a guy that I think is going to be a guard on the college level. Unger is a very intelligent player in the trenches. He does not have any false steps when he is time for him to get out on pull blocks. Unger also knows how to use his hands when it is time to block. He is not the player that shows his hands to defenders too early. I love those kinds of mechanics out of young offensive linemen. Unger is a 6-foot-3, 270-pound guy out of Madison Ridgeland Academy in Mississippi.
Shack is a quarterback out of Brandon High School in Mississippi that you need to know. This is a player that we have to continue to talk about. He is playing behind a very elite senior, but Shack will have three years to be the starting quarterback at Brandon. I guarantee that he is sitting back learning this offense getting ready to have a major breakout season next year. Shack is a freshman quarterback that already has great size. He is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound guy that has a very strong arm. Shack also has some decent speed. This young man is going to set things on fire when it is his time to call the shots.
