What I Learned From Watching Houston vs. Louisville

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This game did not go the way fans expected it to. Louisville won the game 50-6. There are some things I noticed while watching this game. Houston has a few things to fix. Louisville is on the roll.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Louisville </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Louisville showed that they don't play to stop rolling any time soon. They were hitting on all cylinders last night. Xavier Hunt has been on fire the last few weeks. The last time I talked to him, he told me that he is ready to step his game up. Him and Deniro Jackson were on fire last night. Kam Triplett is another guy that you need to know. He is a 2025 receiver.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Louisville's special teams also stepped up big. They made a lot of plays that helped shut this game down. Jykevious Goss was a dog on special teams. [player_tooltip player_id='402110' first='Xzarion' last='Haynes'] is another player that scored on special teams. Louisville has a very complete team that knows how to make big plays all over the field. He is a guy that college coaches need to keep up with.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Houston</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Houston has a few things that they need to work on. They have [player_tooltip player_id='311644' first='Will' last='Echoles'] on their side and that is a great player to have. However, I think on defense he should be playing more of the nose guard position. When he is on the edge it is a lot easier for teams to just run from whatever side he is going to line up on. Echoles is a dog that does a great job of blocking for them as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Houston has done a great job running the football with [player_tooltip player_id='161267' first='Jalen' last='Washington'] behind [player_tooltip player_id='311644' first='Will' last='Echoles']. I think that should be something that they should try to do again a lot when they face a defense like Louisville. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='910013' first='Doug' last='Jones'] and his guys are going to have to find a way to stop the run. Right now, it seems that teams may watch this Louisville film to see what it is that Louisville did to bring the pain like this.
