Continuing the top performances of each week, these articles will be highlighting top performances by position, I wanted to say there are MANY other defensive backs who could be put on this list. I am listing the players who's stat line stood out, who people recommended, and players who either I watched live or was able to watch highlights from their specific game. For the best chance to be featured, send me your weekly film on twitter. My handle is “@DevinRecord”, please don't have any hard feelings if you weren't included.

He's a versatile player who can play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. He lined up at quarterback u0026amp; defensive back during week 1 but started at wide receiver and defensive back during week 2. As a defensive back, he's all over the field. He gets involved in tackles often and racked up 9 tackles of his own during the game. He also had an interception. Offensively he had a big time game too, he had 11 catches for 147 yards. He's a player to keep an eye on.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_1_player_details_player_name":"Maddox Hodge","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_1_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_1_player_details_height":"6'2u0022","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_1_player_details_position":"2495","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_1_player_details_school":"Black Hills HS","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_1_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_1_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Maddox stood out to me a couple weeks last year during the season. He is quick to the ball and covers the field very well. He had great speed, agility, and elusiveness. Maddox contributes on both sides of the ball and plays a lot of snaps each week. During week 2 he racked up 7.5 tackles with a forced fumble and a pass broken up. Offensively he was able to grab 8 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"Cory Olney","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"6'0u0022","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"2495","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"Nooksack Valley HS","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_2_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Cory contributed well on the team last year but has a much bigger role this season and is relied on more on the field to pick up slack from his teammates. Olney is all over the field defensively, covering ground well and tackling in the open field better than most within the 1A class. He has great hands too, meaning he won't be dropping many balls that come his way. He ended week 2 with 2 interceptions on the night.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["915369"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Isaiah is new to this Glacier Peak team and is instantly making an impact early on in the season this year. He makes plays on the field, wherever he is. He can lineup in many, many different places and still be a player opposing teams need to stay accounted for. He made a huge play in week 2, having a 90 yards kickoff return for a touchdown. He also contributed 7 tackles and an interception on the defensive side of the ball. He's a player who I love watching play on the field.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_4_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='1136335' first='Bryson' last='Hodges']","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_4_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_4_player_details_height":"6'2u0022","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_4_player_details_position":"2495","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_4_player_details_school":"Eastlake HS","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_4_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_4_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Bryson is a very intelligent player on the football field. He reads the quarterback very well and reacts quickly to if it's a run or pass play. He watches his film before every game and you can tell with how he performs each week. Hodges has great anticipation in the secondary and is able to wrap up ball carriers nicely if they break into the next level. During week 2, he was involved in many tackles and even had an interception on the the night. He scored a touchdown on the offensive side of the ball as well.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65050be43ca2f"} /-->
