Continue ReadingI did these last year during the season and am bringing it back this year. These articles will be highlighting top performances by position each week, I wanted to say there are MANY other wide receivers and tight ends who could be put on this list. I am listing the players who’s stat line stood out, who people recommended, and players who either I watched live or was able to watch highlights from their specific game. For the best chance to be featured, send me your weekly film on twitter. My handle is “@DevinRecord”, please don’t have any hard feelings if you weren’t included.
Durant could be the best overall athlete from anyone in the entire state. He will take his talents to Oregon St after his senior season, which is well deserved. He is able to be double teamed, which he is almost every game, and can STILL make the catches through traffic. During week 1, he compiled a total of 182 yards and 3 total touchdowns, 2 receiving and 1 kickoff return for a touchdown. HE could be on this list weekly, in reality.
Cole Adams
Cole Adams
Cole was a freshman last year and caught my eye when I watched his highlights. He is a natural at wide receiver and has great size for the position. He has incredible speed and can catch most passes thrown in his area. During week 1 he went OFF for 14 snags for 125 yards and a touchdown. Keep an eye on this underclassman during the season.
Jamal is a lockdown defensive back and makes amazing plays on that side of the football. He stood out during week 1 on the offensive side of the ball, being able to gain big time yardage and make plays with his feet. He brought in 6 passes for 121 yards and 1 touchdown in the air. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was mentioned again on either side of the football.
Highlights
Now here is an athlete within the state of Washington that is SLEPT on by college coaches. Bode is a division 1 talent and showcases that week in and week out. He has great speed and a fantastic vertical, being able to out-jump defenders easily. He brought in 8 catches for 225 yards and 4 touchdowns, 2 of those being over 60 yards. His 225 yards receiving was the 10th most in the conference history.

Tyson Hoke
Tyson Hoke
Tyson has been an all league player before, on both sides of the ball. He is a fantastic athlete, also excelling in baseball, basketball, and track. Football is what seems the most natural, to me. He is a animal on the field. He will do anything his coach asks of him, being the ultimate team player. During week 1 he has 6 catches for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also hauled in an interception on the defensive side of the ball.
