With just naming a few of those marquee matchups, we take a look into the week 1 Ontario Top Performances.
Nathan Guizzetti

Nathan Guizetti Nathan Guizetti 5’10” | RB Korah | 2025 CAD I feel like its going to be a name we just keep repeating this season when we look at the top performers. The small nimble Deuce Vaughn like back went for a career day in week 1 leading the No.3 Korah Colts to their first win of the season. Guizetti’s performance saw him lay out an 18 carry, 321 rush yards and 4 TD type of day. The stout back is going to be expected to produce another huge day on the ground in week 2.
Michael Kerr
Michael Kerr
One of the more surprising week 1 performances came from Nelson Lords Michael Kerr. Kerr went off in a bit different type of record breaking day where he housed a 100 yard kick off return TD in the opening play of the game against St. Joseph’s Guardians (Saskatchewan). The 2025 stand out slot receiver is going to need to have a hat kept on him at all times this season. With great pop and burst at the point of attack, Kerr is a dynamic returner who is going to make you regret it with any mistakes in the coverage game. As well, Kerr went on to have 3 receptions for 52 yards to contribute to Nelson’s week 1 win.
Malakhai Pryce

Malakhai Pryce also had himself quite the day in a very tough week one conference matchup between Bluevale and Elmira. Pryce spearheaded a last second TD drive to lead Bluevale to a 21-17 win over conferences foes Elmira. Pryce went 16/22 through the air for 2 TD’s and 65 yards rushing. Pryce will likely be suiting up as a WR at the next level but it did not stop the 2024 standout athlete from leading his team to a week one victory. Pryce will be expected to carry a majority of the load for a Bluevale roster that does not return a ton of offensive production. Pryce will be expected to not only contribute in the pass game but be expected to use his legs like he did in week 1. Bluevale could push for a conference finals if teams don’t figure out how to solve the star studded quarterback.
