Lincoln Prins Lincoln Prins 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD , QB, Sioux Falls Christian Twitter
Lincoln is a 6’0 175 pound 2025 quarterback prospect from the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers, that was a late pop out on tape before putting out our 2025 rankings. As a southpaw, he shows plenty of touch with his arm strength on intermediate routes and the ample precision that goes into leading your receiving core for success. He also shows off smooth looking mobility, not losing hardly any strength on his throws from the run. He also shows those same balanced traits within the pocket with his pocket presence and plenty of consistently seen with his arm strength.
Vilgot Friberg Vilgot Friberg 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Sioux Valley | 2025 State SD , ATH/DB, Sioux Valley Twitter
Coming over to Sioux Valley from Sweden, it’s time to meet Cossacks athlete/defensive back Vilgot Friberg Vilgot Friberg 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Sioux Valley | 2025 State SD who shows off some impressive tape from the Limhamn Griffins out of Malmo, Sweden last season. At 6’1 185 pounds Vilgot is a free safety that has a huge coverage of range he can work with from sideline to sideline. This young man shows off some instinctive physicality when he delivers contact and also with his length shows off long arms that can use his stretch to take the ball ahead of a wide receiver with ease. The positioning Vilgot plays with at defensive back is a prime example of a DB prospect that has a well-tuned football IQ and is always in the right spot at the right time. I am excited to get eyes on his tape with the Cossacks this 2023 season!
Brady Scott Brady Scott 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Canistota | 2025 State SD , WR/DB, Canistota Tape
The 6’2 190 pound wide receiver for the Canistota Pride is a wide-out that you can tell has plenty of chemistry with 2024 quarterback Tage Ortman Tage Ortman 5'11" | 160 lbs | QB Canistota-Freeman | 2024 State SD as a WR he can trust with his deep and intermediate routes, as Brady consistently gets ample separation with his size that we saw on tape. Brady is also a prospect that does the small things right off the ball as a blocker that can line up anywhere on the offense side of the ball and have success. He also shows off a sizable vertical that pays dividends on both sides of the ball. A two-way prospect with light tape that I would like to see more out of as a potential stockriser by next-update from this South Dakota 2025 class.
John Lent John Lent 6'4" | 220 lbs | OL Sioux Falls O'Gorman | 2025 State SD , OL/DL, Sioux Falls O’Gorman Tape
Another prospect with light yet intriguing early tape to the 2023 fall season is Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s John Lent John Lent 6'4" | 220 lbs | OL Sioux Falls O'Gorman | 2025 State SD . The 6’4 220 pounder plays with a big whiff of physicality whenever he connects with the ball carrier as a DL that works his tail off in the trenches as far as these eyes can tell. He also showed off constantly when you roll his clips at right tackle, as John shows off determined pad-level and my favorite skillset I look for in my offensive linemen, one that will finish off his defender until that whistle blows. This might be the biggest stockriser in the trenches from our 2025 South Dakota rankings that I certainly want to see how his season progresses on tape.
Drake Jellema Drake Jellema 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB Brandon Valley | 2025 State SD , DB, Brandon Valley Twitter
A 6’0 175 pound strong safety hailing from the next-level hotbed of Brandon Valley, Drake Jellema Drake Jellema 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB Brandon Valley | 2025 State SD has showed off plenty of sizable talent thru the first four weeks of tape. This young man plays really well on an island, as a prospect that has the elite vision with his ball-tracking ability. He very consistently is a disruption on deep and intermediate routes, as a DB prospect that has a versatile range no matter where he is on the field. Drake also has the football IQ that plays with a fearless demeanor around the ball and makes balanced contact with the ball carrier to cause a disturbance in the passing game. I expect Drake to be one of the biggest stockrisers from this list when we re-evaluate this 2025 South Dakota class after the season.
Carson Ness Carson Ness 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR Yankton | 2025 State SD , WR, Yankton Twitter
Carson stood out with his first look on tape from me last week as his agile movement with his change of direction showed plenty of upside on tape along with his 6’1 165 pound frame. Carson plays with plenty of inclination with his route-running as his cuts over the middle of the field show off plenty of fluid athleticism. Carson also plays with plenty of balance and awareness within his creative routes to the inside or the edges of the field. He also has excellent hands that does not need much room to operate within high-traffic areas as it’s no wonder in my eyes that this Yankton Bucks wide receiver was one of their offensive standouts against 6-time state champs Pierre T.F. Riggs.
Rollie French Rollie French 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Vermillon | 2025 State SD , LB, Vermillion Tape
Rollie showed off the reactive read-vision I love watching out of the middle linebacker position for our 2025 South Dakota rankings. This young man is quite efficient over the middle and his athletic mobility shows plenty of smooth skillsets to get to the outside edges and make a play on the ball. The biggest thing I like about Rollie’s tape, is how well-balanced he is with his footwork inside the five yard line, as a middle linebacker prospect that shows off plenty of consistency as a huge asset for the Tanagers front seven. Rollie is one of those linebackers I can tell that is always in the mesh of the ball carrier’s wheelhouse as a 5’10 200 pound linebacker that plays bigger than his measurables.
