Lavista has been impressive early on this season racking up 471 yards receiving in just 4 games. The 6’2 sophomore has also found the end-zone 6 times already. At his size and speed he is really becoming a problem for defensive backs who are tasked to cover him. He can run by most corners as well as win 50/50 balls thrown his way. He is a smooth route runner that understands how to get his separation.
Highlights
Melendez does it all for Ridgewood. On top of being a stand out wide receiver this year he is also starting at corner on defense. He is moved around within the offense, often using speed to run by defenders. He has been a big part of their offense so far scoring 6 touchdowns. With about half the season left I believe Ridgewood will keep finding ways to get Melendez ball.

Hammers is a big reason the Blue Devils are 4-0 this year and why the offense has been so efficient. I love the way Quincy has been utilizing short routes and screens just to get the ball into Hammers’ hands. He has the speed to pull away from defenders as well the shiftiness to make guys miss in space. He has 3 touchdowns on the season and almost 400 yards receiving.
Wide Receivers like Sheko Gjokaj are a quarterback’s best friend. A slot that has knack for getting open within the defense. Gjokaj has been getting peppered with targets so far on the year with 25 receptions in 4 games. Don’t the 5’9 160 lbs frame fool you, this kid is not afraid to go across the middle for the tough catches, I love the toughness he has. He has been averaging around 70 yards receiving a game.

Brown has been a big weapon this year for Batavia. He can run a multitude of routes making him difficult to cover. He is a guy that has the ability to play either outside or inside within the offense which makes him extremely versatile. He is averaging around 50 receiving yards through 4 games. He is also been making an impact as a punt returner as well this year for the Bulldogs.
