Offensive Player of the Week
Allen has been on a tear so far this season with last Friday possibly being his best game yet. The Pioneers junior back torched the Camden Central defense last week for 389 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Even though Gibson Co. lost the game, Allen was the best player on the field displaying his balance, strength and ability to hit the home run. I don’t foresee the Pioneers junior to slow down anytime soon, so expect a few more big games out of Allen before the season has completed. Game Stats: 23 carr. for 389 yds & 4 TD’s
Defensive Player of the Week
The Owls picked up a big road win last Friday in their 19-14 victory over Ensworth with Shoaf being a major reason why. This 6’1 inside backer was a one man wrecking crew, creating havoc on a consistent basis while making plays everywhere on the field. Shoaf has been putting together strong performances week in and week out with last Friday being his best showing yet. While this senior linebacker is currently committed to play baseball in college, he might want to look deeper into football because his stock is steadily rising. Game Stats: 12 tcks, 2 TFL, 1 PD, 1 blocked punt & 1 Int
Positional Players of the Week
QB: Braden Graham Braden Graham 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Riverdale | 2024 State TN – Riverdale: 21-27 passing for 259 yds & 5 TD’s
– It was a tough battle for the top QB spot for Week 6 but Graham took the win based off his efficient night along with tossing five touchdown passes. This available senior signal caller has been playing some stellar ball of late!

RB: Daune Morris Daune Morris 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Oakland | 2025 State TN – Oakland ‘25: 13 carr. for 186 yds & 3 TD’s (3 rec. for 75 yds & 1 TD)
– Morris has had a seamless transition to 6A football from Red Bank with strong showings like this. The Pats junior back was near unstoppable in last Friday’s win, where Morris produced four total touchdowns, three on the ground and one through the air.

WR/TE: Derrick Miller Derrick Miller 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Houston | 2025 TN , Jr – Houston ‘25: 6 rec. for 153 yds & 3 TD’s
– Miller was the big play threat the Mustangs needed in their 23-21 win over Grenada, MS last week, where the athletic junior produced a big game, scoring three times through the air and becoming a big factor in Houston’s road victory.

OL: Pope Prep Knights
– For the fourth week in a row, the Knights offensive line has paved the way for a 100 yard rusher, which is senior back Elijah Robb Elijah Robb 5'9" | 200 lbs | RB Pope Prep | 2024 State TN while holding up well in pass protection that has led Pope Prep to multiple victories. The line will need to continue playing at a high level moving forward as the Knights have some big inner region games on the horizon.

Ath: Whittman Whaley Whittman Whaley 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Gatlinburg-Pittman | 2024 State TN – Gatlinburg-Pittman: 4 rec. for 107 yds & 3 TD’s (6 tcks, 3 TFL, 1 PD & 2 sacks on Def.)
– Over the past few weeks, something has awakened inside Whaley as he has been playing like his hair is one fire. Last week in the Highlanders victory, Whaley had a monster showing, producing three receiving TD’s while causing havoc in the oppositions backfield with two sacks.

DL: Kaleb Newsome – Jackson Chrst.: 9 tcks, 4 TFL & 3 sacks
– The Eagles have been dominating on defense so far this year with Newsome being a major cause. Last week was his best performance yet as an unblockable defensive end that was in the opponent’s backfield all night long.

LB: Bear Cortes Bear Cortes 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB McCallie | 2025 TN – McCallie ‘25: 10 tcks, 2 TFL, 1 QBH, 1 sack & 1 FR ret. for a TD
– Cortes was everywhere on the field last week in McCallie’s 35-0 win over MBA. This Blue Tornado junior has been coming on off late, taking his recruiting stock to another and if Cortes continues to play like this, you could see his 1st offer arrive sooner than later.

DB: Anthony Taylor Anthony Taylor 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB White Station | 2024 State TN – White Station: 4 tcks, 2 PD & 1 Int
– One of the best DB prospects from the West TN region, Taylor has been steady all year long, consistently locking down receivers on the outside while producing big plays. Last week was one of his best performances yet!
