#1 West Linn @ Lake Stevens, WA (WL -17)

I don't see this being like last year where the Lions won 45-6, but I also don't see Washington 4A State Champ Lake Stevens being able to hang. Both teams are young which is even more scary. If 3* Jr. RB Jayshon Limar can put together a similar performance to last week, where he carried 19 times for 157 yards and 4 TDs, then it could be interesting. The West Linn D is ruthless, outscoring their opponents 131-17 thus far.

#2 Central Catholic @ #14 Nelson (CCATH -36)

Nelson played #1 West Linn tough even if the score didn't indicate that in week 1. That said as top 2025 QB recruit [player_tooltip player_id='285852' first='Avirey' last='Durdahl'] will need to play out of his mind if they want to stay close in this one. Central could be relatively bored over the next few months during Mt Hood play.

McMinnville @ #3 Lake Oswego (LO -31)

The Grizzlies have a few nice athletes and they are a program on the rise, but LO is one of the best in Oregon, and will likely close this out by half. Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] continues to look like one of the top dual threat kids in the NW with sophomore RB [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] projecting as an all state back.

#4 Tualatin @ #5 Jesuit (TUAL -4)

I think this could go either way. Look for Jesuit to play inspired football after an 0-3 start, in what is hands down the toughest schedule in the Northwest. The T-Wolves feature a litany of D1 kids who will need to step up again if they want to beat the Crusaders at home. As noted, [player_tooltip player_id='152339' first='Jayden' last='Fortier'] is having an MVP type season, [player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland'] is one of the most dangerous athletes in the West, and [player_tooltip player_id='152338' first='Kenen' last='Elder'] is a 1st team all state DB as of right now. Not to mention 6-4 QB [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'], who averaged 10 yards per carry last week against 5A #1 Wilsonville, with the Timberwolves sitting at 3-0.

#6 Sherwood @ Westview (SHER -28.5)

I was incredibly surprised to see the Wildcats hang around last week with Lakeridge, so good for them. The Sherwood D is playing as well as anyone in Oregon right now and could potentially pitch another shutout. If [player_tooltip player_id='278398' first='Kasen' last='Covert'] and the Bowmen offense gets going this could be over early.

#7 Oregon City @ Beaverton (OC -31.5)

I'm a big advocate of this OC program and Coach Aaron Skinner, but the Pioneers non league schedule has been incredibly weak, which could have an effect once the brutal TRL gauntlet gets under way. Beaverton has some young talent but got hammered by 5A Canby last week 42-7. If Oregon City doesn't have a decisive win that would be concerning.

#8 Tigard @ Liberty (TIG -22.5)

The Tigers are talented but relatively young, winning by a couple scores each week. Liberty hasn't looked good, getting blasted 54-19 by an unranked Sunset team last week. The Falcons are typically one of the better teams in the Pacific Conference so we will see if they can get back on track.

Sunset @ #9 Lakeridge (LAK -5)

QB [player_tooltip player_id='858699' first='Drew' last='Nees'] and his guys looked good in the 35-point win over Liberty last week. This would be a huge win for the Apollos heading into conference play, if they could figure out how to beat a TRL team. As referenced numerous times, on paper Lakeridge looks like the real deal, but haven't been impressive thus far. This will be a good test for the Pacers as Sunset is playing well.

McNary @ #10 Sheldon (SHEL -40)

The Irish dropped the hammer on Sprague last week, winning by 30+ after two tough ball games to start the year. McNary has been shutout the last two weeks and could potentially have that happen again.

#12 Mountainside @ Newberg (MSIDE -15.5)

The Mavericks have played good football teams each week and have some of the state's top young talent coming up. Newberg has routed three teams who rank towards the bottom of 6A, so it will be interesting to see what they do against a ranked opponent.

#13 South Salem @ #11 South Medford PICK EM

Not sure what to think here. The Saxons are a fun team to watch and can light up a scoreboard, but the Medford kids have been playing pretty well and they have a line. Expect this to be one of the better ball games of the night with South Salem QB [player_tooltip player_id='597348' first='Athan' last='Palmateer'] yet to be stopped.

Clackamas @ #15 Barlow (BARL -9)

This could be another close ball game, although the Bruins have played a relatively tough non-league schedule, with Clack losing 36-0 to Sherwood and leaving some major question marks. Barlow's [player_tooltip player_id='520401' first='Sentori' last='Martino'] is having a POY type season, as he will be a primary focus for the Cavs D.
