NW/W Ga Standouts Week 3 (pt 2)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We take a look at a few more players that stood out Week 3 in the Northwest/West area. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1637205' first='Carson' last='Callihan']-ATH-'25 Fannin Co</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 5'11 178 athlete accounted for 237 total yards in a big 52-28 win at AAA Pickens. Callihan has a good initial burst, getting up to full speed quickly. Good hands out of the backfield and can take it the distance on every play. Has 602 all purpose yards with 6 TDs and is averaging 7.4 yards per carry through the Rebels 1st 3 games. Coached by outstanding staff and the multisport athlete has a 4.0 GPA. He had 284 yards rushing and added an INT returned for a TD in a big win over rival Bremen. I look forward to watching this guy's HUDL every week. High motor that loves to hit and hit hard. Combine that intensity with speed and athleticism and a good football IQ make Beasley one of the most dangerous players in our area. The Catamounts are off to one of the most surprising starts early in the 2023 season and Long stepping in as QB1 has been a part of that success. Through 2 games he has completed 68% of his passes for 471 yards and 8 TDs and has only thrown 1 interception. Accurate downfield passer that can also zip the ball out quick on screens and slants. The Hornets are off to their best start in nearly a decade with Strickland under center. Athletic with a lean athletic build that can make things happen with his feet and his arm. Poised in the pocket and is a great leader on the field. Multisport guy that gets in done in the classroom with a 3.75 GPA. As the Hornets keep opening eyes across the State this QB1 will start getting more attention. Intriguing athletic prospect that we noticed back in the Spring when he hauled down 3 TD catches. Holds the Dade Co record in the triple jump, 100m and long jump. He is also a member of the school record holding 4x200 team.
