Continue ReadingCANADA–With Part II to my Mid-Sason Canadian Notebook, I put a premier focus on scouting at least one prospect from each of Canada’s major hotbed provinces for next-level talent which I will continue do going forward. From British Columbia to Quebec this list uncovers plenty of talented Canadian prospects from all over the country with ones with FBS potential to the small schools at the next-level.
Hudson Bromley Hudson Bromley 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Vancouver College | 2024 State CAD , RB, Vancouver College, BC (2024) Twitter
Hudson is a 6’0 205 pound running back prospect that has great skillsets built with his vision between the tackles at this young man pops out strongly on the inside run with elusiveness to get thru high traffic areas. The instinct he plays within his first step is also impressive, as he has agility built in with his powerful frame to beat the defender with his solid football IQ. Vancouver College’s “best back from his junior season should be a next-level prospect to watch progress thru the rest of the season.
Declan Lyth Declan Lyth 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Holy Trinity | 2025 State CAD , QB, Holy Trinity Academy, AB (2025) Twitter
The Albert quarterback prospect from Holy Trinity Academy has a cannon of an arm and I like the precison he has with his ball placement on those deep routes as well. The poise Declan has as a pocket passer also has some depth, as he shows off smooth footwork when working around the pocket. The amount of touch he shows off on his throws show off plenty of consistency when you roll the tape, as a quarterback that has thrown for nearly 1.5 touchdowns thus far this season as I would expect that number to grow by season’s end with how balanced Declan’s accuracy has developed.
Zye Louison Zye Louison 6'7" | 350 lbs | OL Yorkton | 2024 State CAD , OL, Yorkton, SK (2024) Twitter
At 6’7 350 pounds, Zye is a massive OL prospect for Yorkton that has shown some promise on both sides of the ball. I am impressed with the downhill leverage that Zye gets on tape along with his pad-level as on one particular play this young man drove his blocker into the next area code as he has balanced footwork with some upside yet to grow with that skillset. He also shows off some agile traits with those big hands at nose tackle as for that size, I thought Zye has a pretty effective first step to the ball with so much length to get his arms around a much smaller offensive linemen. Zye also has some position flexibility on the offensive line at guard or tackle in which I see his best fit at guard as a prospect still waiting for that first offer and one that has the active punch that college coaches won’t have to groom to be physical in the trenches.
Jorel Sahay Jorel Sahay 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB Clarkson Football North | 2026 CAD , DB, Clarkson Football North, ON (2026) Twitter
As a 2026 defensive back prospect, Jorel has already had a big sophomore season with three interceptions (2 being pick 6s) against American competition. This young man is extremely agile with his change of direction and has stellar instincts with his ball-tracking ability. At 5’11 160 pounds, Jorel in my eyes plays much longer than those measurables based on what you see on tape as his first clip I would have thought he played closer to 6’1 with the length of his arms on one of his pick sixs on the season. Jorel also brings ample physicality when he makes contact with the ball carrier which I love seeing early as an underclassmen cornerback. He also shows confident versatility with his pass coverage as he’s able to play press-man or give his wide receiver a cushion, which demonstrates the upside of his quickly growing football IQ. Every rep I see out of Jorel on tape shows off already a prospect that will be playing on Saturdays which is not a call I always make on an underclassmen.
Mason Voogt Mason Voogt 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Dakota Collegiate | 2025 CAD , WR, Dakota Collegiate, MB (2025) Twitter
Mason was a prospect I got to watch at the University of North Dakota prospect camp this summer as a prospect that from my notes I saw quick growth with his upside from camp start to camp finish. Mason shows off a great burst as a slot receiver and one that will put a defensive back on skates if they do not give him a cushion over the top of the secondary. Mason also showed off at the North Dakota prospect camp and on tape consistently a wide receiver that has some creativity route-running ability and can get steady separation with his change of direction. Whether with the ball or off the ball, Mason certainly shows off some competitive hands as a stockriser in the 2025 class in my eyes.
Sammy-Joe Sudah, DL, College Lanier, QC (2025) Twitter
The balance and agility of Sammy’s first step within his mid season tape pops out with plenty of flare. This 6’4 280 pound defensive tackle shows off fluid instincts with destructive hands getting off his blocker on consistent first contact. Sammy also packs plenty of instincts with his vision and the length he provides in the trenches with rangy athleticism that can create chaos in the backfield around the edges of the inside box. Sammy is a defensive tackle that is so agile with his hands, he shows off persistence with his ability to quickly tap and go as this young man is a man-eater in the trenches. He certainly checks off all my boxes as a Division I FBS prospect that is a 2025 prospect I would expect to get an early offer here very soon.
Bol Bol Bol Bol 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL Brooks Composite | 2025 State CAD , DL, Brooks Composite, AB (2025) Twitter
Staying with the defensive line, we move back to Alberta to meet 6’5 245 pound EDGE rusher Bol Bol Bol Bol 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL Brooks Composite | 2025 State CAD . Bol shows off a bursty twitch with his long frame coming off the edge as another defensive linemen that plays with light agile hands at the point of attack. Bol shows off elusive power with his strong body to instinctively power thru double blocks. This young man just has a very strong knack with his vision and the angles he takes to the ball as his versatility pops out well on his mid-season tape. He has development brewing with his motor when he gets to the edges, however with a couple more years of HS development I can see quick growth with that skillset as another next-level prospect in my eyes in the trenches.
