Today, we will be continuing my “Stock Up Performers” series as we highlight some highly impactful prospects that have made their presence known on the field so far this season. Without any further ado, here’s my list of the top performers from week six to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
Highlights
At the top of my list of notable performers is Trevor Havill Trevor Havill 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Avon Old Farm | 2025 New E , a 6-foot-5, 210-pound quarterback at St. Xavier High School. Despite falling 45-10 to Trinity this past week, Havill is an impressive gunslinger that holds the Tigers’ offense together. In addition to outstanding athleticism and execution off the snap, Havill impresses me with his multi-faceted playstyle and ability to remain efficient both on the ground and in the air. With excellent arm strength, pin-point accuracy in the air, explosive speed off the snap and the ability to break tackles, Havill should not be slept on as the season continues into week seven.
Highlights
I am additionally impressed with JD Crump, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound athlete at Hart County High School. Crump and the Raiders are coming off an impressive 46-6 blowout win over Caverna High School. Crump has made his presence known on both sides of the ball, recording 53 carries 325 yards and seven touchdowns as well as 29 total tackles, including two tackles for loss, four sacks and three pass deflections. Crump’s overall athleticism and versatility makes him a reliable playmaker on both sides, showcasing his speed and shiftiness in the pocket and his physicality and strength on the defensive side of the ball.
Highlights
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Noah Nyberg Noah Nyberg 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH McCracken County | 2024 KY , a 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete at McCracken County High School. Despite a heart-breaking 38-35 loss to Murray High School last week, Nyberg showcased his explosiveness, making 11 tackles as well as one interception. What makes Nyberg such a gamechanger is his size, speed and relentless physicality, proving he can escape offensive protection and down playmakers. I’m also fond of how how Nyberg attacks the offense off the snap, applies heavy defensive pressure and makes the crucial stops when his team needs it the most.
Highlights
Another skilled playmaker to watch for is Ryan Rayhill Ryan Rayhill 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Bullitt East | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker at Bullitt East High School. Rayhill and the Chargers are coming off a 48-30 victory over North Hardin last week. Rayhill contributed both offensively and defensively, hauling in one touchdown as a receiver on offense. On the other side, Rayhill collected six tackles as well as four interceptions. I like Rayhill’s size and electric speed, stunning the offense in the pocket with his ability to consistently apply pressure and force the quarterback to panic. Rayhill’s stopping power also stands out, showing off his ability to blast players to the ground with his physicality and strength.
Highlights
Coming in at number five on my list is Treston Kay Treston Kay 5'8" | 155 lbs | ATH Hopkinsville | 2025 KY , a 5-foot-8, 150-pound athlete at Hopkinsville High School. Kay and the Tigers are coming off a 33-12 loss to Warren East High School last week. Kay still impressed, hauling in eight passes for 72 yards, three kick return attempts for 153 yards and a touchdown, and five tackles on the other side of the ball. Kay’s quick and precise execution and durable edge make him impactful at any position, showcasing his ability to blast past the defense down the stretch and in the pocket. Defensively, Kay’s ability to read the offense and stop big runs made him a difference maker in week six.
Highlights
Another prospect worth mentioning is Fisher Brinegar Fisher Brinegar 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Moody | 2027 AL , a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman at Mayfield High School. Brinegar has been turning heads with the Cardinals this season, recently helping his teammates to a 38-24 win over Henderson County High School. What impresses me about Brinegar is his commanding size, speed and strength at the line, showcasing his ability to hold back the defense and buy his teammates more time to advance offensive production. Another aspect of Brinegar’s playstyle that stands out is his ability to absorb pressure and stay on his feet under heavy contact from the defense.
