Game Recap Reading 25-Muhlenberg 7

Reading had multiple personal foul penalties and [player_tooltip player_id='598742' first='Keyshawn' last='Efese'] was ejected after getting 2 personal foul penalties. Muhlenberg had a 7-6 lead late in the 1st half and it looked like they were going to go into the half with the lead when Readings Jared Santos was stopped at the goalline, but the officials said that 2 seconds should be placed on the clock and Readings [player_tooltip player_id='264258' first='Gabriel' last='Laws'] rushed in to give Reading a 12-7 lead going into the half. After Muhlenberg took a 7-0 lead Beatty took the kickoff and went 95 yards to the end zone for a touchdown. It totally turned around the game for Reading. Beatty was limited to one catch on the evening as Reading focused on running the ball, but he also chipped in with an interception from his defensive back position. He also almost returned that for a touchdown as well. At linebacker, he was all over the field. He made several tackles and was constantly in the action. The most impressive part was Reading had him cover Muhlenberg's best receiver Mike Miller all night in man-to-man defense. Several times Muhlenberg threw the ball toward Miller and Laws was able to break it up. This year Laws added playing running back for the Red Nights. He scored a touchdown and was used in the short-running game package for Reading. Efese lost his cool, but it will be something he will learn from. Overall he is a talented player and you do not see someone that big move like him. Reading decided to go to a counter-run game in the 2nd half and it allowed Efese to pull and lead up in the run game. Then when the run game went towards him he caved down and did a nice job blocking. He caught 7 passes for 93 yards for the Muhls last night. He scored the lone Muhls touchdown when he caught a 43-yard pass on the seam and broke to the end zone for a touchdown. Dodson showed a good ability to catch the ball in traffic. He was a 2nd league defensive lineman last year. Muhlenberg had negative rushing yards from sacks and tackles in the backfield, Odeyemi was a big part of it with how disruptive he was in the backfield. Odeyemi shows good strength and a motor that never quits. He should only get better going forward. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
