Falcon senior running back standout [player_tooltip player_id='126255' first='Elijah' last='Stevens'] (5'11" 195) had himself a record setting night as the workhorse of the Summit offense in it's win over Parkway North, carrying the ball 35 times for 245 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns. Stevens describes his game as speed and patience. And while both are true, he also has good vision to find the hole, quick feet and can change direction, along with surprising power, durability and the ability to make yards after contact. Elijah can also be a nice receiver out of the backfield with his good hands.

The defensive workhorse opposite Stevens was senior linebacker Coen Haynes (6'0" 215) who led the Falcons in tackles with 13 while flying to the ball being the physical playmaking type of linebacker teams want to lead their defense. Haynes is a skilled athlete with good speed and strength who can play each linebacker position. He has the ability to cover like a safety and can rush off the edge line a defensive end. It's no wonder he is their leading tackler on the season. He will no doubt have a successful college career.

Senior DE [player_tooltip player_id='130643' first='Dominic' last='Bentrup'] (6'1" 225) has been a leader on the defense since he was a freshman and made an immediate impact as a pass rusher. He continues to be that guy early in his senior season being second on the team leaders in tackles and sacks using his quick first step and explosiveness to give opposing offensive tackles fits. Dom had 9 tackles on the night and helped put consistent pressure on the Vikings backfield.

The other book end to Bentrup is fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='126262' first='Sam' last='Sutter'] (6'2" 210) who makes life difficult for opposing quarterbacks and running backs. Sutter put pressure from the opposite side all game long and finished with 5 tackles and a sack. Sam is is quick off the edge and has a great motor. He a solid athlete who has good technique and you can tell he has worked on his skills to bring to the field on Friday nights. He is hearing from multiple colleges who have taken notice on his abilities.

Jason Kirk (5'8" 190 ) is another linebacker whose number I kept seeing and hearing make plays all game long. The fireplug senior linebacker is another very physical defender that was seemingly always around the ball all night. Kirk runs downhill and hits hard at the point of attack. Jason also had double digit tackles finishing with 10 for the game in a strong all around defensive performance.

Senior left tackle Justin Cornett (6'5' 310) impressed me last year with his size, quick feet and mobility when I saw him. He looked even better in helping pave the way for Stevens record setting night showing his strength and run blocking skills. Several college coaches were there watching and were impressed with his play as well. Justin is a good athlete who shows solid pass pro skills along with his run blocking ability.

Falcon 2025 TE [player_tooltip player_id='341093' first='Chase' last='Martin'] (6'2" 215) also deserves a mention for his run blocking he showed on the night as well as catching the lone touchdown pass of the game from senior QB Grant Gibson (6'3' 210). Martin looks like a really H-Back/TE prospect on the next level with his hands, blocking and ability to run and make plays. He did a nice job getting open for his lone catch, which was the 9-yard touchdown to help give the Falcons some distance from the Vikings.
