Louisiana's high school football season is underway with a couple great weeks of standout performances already in the books and another three months' worth on the horizon.

Prep Redzone Louisiana has picked five players each area of the state to prioritize catching in person this fall.

The series will limit inclusion of teammates in order to incorporate more teams, and older players receive preference with fewer opportunities left to see them before they wrap up their high school careers.

For the final segment of the series, here are the "Catch 5 Live" selections for River Parishes area.

[player_tooltip player_id='285273' first='Kobe' last='Brown'] | 5-10, 160 WR | St. James (2024)

The final season for the dynamic duo of quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='285279' first='Brayden' last='Williams'] and Brown, who becomes an even bigger veteran leader in the receiving corps as a senior and following the graduation of some key weapons from last fall. Brown earned all-state honorable-mention recognition as a junior with 47 receptions for 824 yards and 11 touchdowns last fall and, with his continued work and competitive nature, feels likely to top those numbers this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='285192' first='Kolaj' last='Cobbins'] | 6-3, 215 DL/LB | Destrehan (2024)

Destrehan is another program that could have its own list of five or 10 great options to take the lead, but this fall "Tut" is the clear king of the headliners as a highly productive, returning all-state performer and LSU commit. Cobbins, one of the state's most disruptive defenders throughout his high school career, recorded 82.5 tackles, including 16 for loss and 10.5 sacks, as a junior, plus another 16 hurries, three forced fumbles and a handful of pass breakups. And he's entered his senior season bigger and stronger than ever after his spring in the weight room.

[player_tooltip player_id='677948' first='D'Khai' last='Joseph'] | 5-10, 170 WR/ATH | East St. John (2024)

Southeastern Louisiana landed one of the state's most productive and dynamic playmakers this summer when the Wildcats' senior leader announced his commitment. Joseph earned all-state honors as a junior with 63 catches for 1,271 yards and 20 touchdowns as a quick, versatile weapon East St. John can move around the offense, get involved in a variety of ways and rely on to get open almost every play and make defenders miss with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='139625' first='Kylin' last='Smith'] | 5-9, 150 DB/ATH | West St. John (2024)

The Rams' speedy standout may be one of the state's more underrated and under-recruited seniors. Smith is a smaller athlete from a rural, smaller school, but he's been a three-phase playmaker his entire high school career with his great quickness, instincts and ball skills and rose to the occasion of notable national competition this spring on the 7-on-7 circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='710270' first='Reshad' last='Sterling'] | 6-2, 235 DL/OL | Lutcher (2025)

Sterling stood out from an eye-test perspective as a sophomore, playing both ways, on his Bulldogs' storybook state championship team. His recruitment starter to pick up some in the offseason, including a notable Tulane offer, and he steps into a bigger role and bigger expectations this fall with that experience and recruiting profile. And his combination of frame, athleticism and aggressiveness make him a promising candidate to watch play on Friday nights now and on Saturdays down the road.
