I like him on the defensive side of the ball where he plays cornerback. Sharp is a fluid athlete. He mirrors well and has loose hips and the speed to run. Be it in the run game or in coverage, Trey isn’t afraid to lay the wood. When the ball is in the air, he does a good job of playing the ball rather than the man. I like the confidence and edginess that Sharp plays with. He plays with the confidence that he’s always going to make the play, which at the cornerback position is an important trait. With a strong second half I think Trey will get some considerable college interest.
WR Jeremiah King Jeremiah King 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Grove City | 2024 State OH (Grove City) 6’0 170- King is a weapon in Grove City offense. His skillset allows him to be used in a variety of different ways. He can line up a both as a slot and the outside. He can win versus man or zone defense. Against man he does a good job with his footwork off the line and has the speed along with subtle breaks to create separation. In man, he’s able to find pockets and sit down to make targets for his QB. He tracks the ball well and has the hands to finish. In the open field he has the speed an elusiveness to make guys miss. In the run game King is a willing and capable blocker.
QB Alex Ritzie Alex Ritzie 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Badin | 2024 State OH (Badin) 6’2 180- Ritzie is the offensive leader for the undefeated and #1 ranked team in Division 3 Region 12. Ritzie is a versatile quarterback who can win in a number of ways. His height gives him a good view from the pocket where he can make throws to all levels. He has a good feel for and touch on his deep ball. Alex can also make throws on the run. He senses pressure well and is able to pick up yardage with his legs. He can execute both the zone read and run option games. Ritzie has the frame to continue to fill out and get stronger which I think will help him create more arm speed and velocity on his throws.
QB Ja’Ontay O’Bryant Ja’Ontay O’Bryant 6'0" | 150 lbs | DB Mansfield | 2024 State OH (Mansfield Senior) 6’0 160- Ja’Ontay is a player I’ve liked since his Sophomore year. He has the speed and athleticism to play the part at cornerback. What I like about him is that he’s patient and he’s fundamentally sound. Ja’Ontay has really good timing and makes strong breaks on the ball. He puts himself in great position to make plays on the ball. When the balls in the air he has really good balls skills. O’Bryant is good in zone coverage, but I think he could develop into a good man coverage corner as well. Quite simply he has a nose for the ball, and he goes and gets it. I like Ja’Ontay at the D2 level and am excited to see what he can do with a big second half of his senior season.
DL Jovaun Davis Jovaun Davis 6'3" | 225 lbs | DL Middletown | 2024 State OH (Middletown) 6’3 220- Davis is a well put together and an imposing figure on the defensive line for the Middies. He lines up at defensive end and will play both with his hand in the dirt and out of a stand-up stance. Jovaun has good bend and athleticism for his size. He can win both with power and with and athleticism, which makes him a difficult player to deal with for offenses. When watching his film, you will see him regularly walk his blocker into the backfield using his plus length to help gain leverage. He has a nice speed rush off the edge. Davis is really winning off of plus size and speed traits. He could really take his game to the next level if he’s able to develop some pass rush moves in the passing game and he can work on shedding blockers in the run game.
