The Patriots have Maddox and Oak Grove all they wanted on Friday night. Fortunately for Oak Grove, Maddox fought until the bitter end to ensure the Warriors would leave victorious. He was on fire all night, completing 24 of 27 passes for 415 yards and four touchdowns in the Warriors' 45-44 win over MRA. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Tajii Burkett | SR | ATH | Oak Grove</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Burkett made the Patriot's defense look like Swiss cheese all night long. He was dominant in all phases of the game Friday night. His vision and allusiveness set him apart from everyone on the field. The Oak Grove offense uses him multiple ways, from the slot or in the backfield. He had seven receptions for 106 yards, two receiving touchdowns, three rushing carries for 42 yards, and one touchdown. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='605927' first='Chris' last='Hunter'] | SR | RB | Canton Academy</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hunter was a man among boys last Friday night against Central Hinds. The Panthers went as Hunter went. Hunter had 259 All-Purpose yards and four touchdowns in Canton Academy's 43-25 win over Central Hinds. Hunter is listed as 6'0" and 190lbs, but he plays so much bigger than that. He is the type of back that can control a game. He can lower his shoulder and get the extra yard, but at the same time, he can hit the edge and take it to the house at any given moment. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='346420' first='Gavin' last='Griffin'] | SR | RB | Velma Jackson</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Griffin is still running circles around the Jim Hill defense. He carried the ball 17 times for 177 yards and three touchdowns last Friday night. Griffin is listed as 5'9" and 190 lbs and runs through the defense like a wrecking ball. Dillon had a standout performance this past Friday night in their matchup with Madison Central. He had six catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns in the Cougars' 28-21 win over the Jaguars. He runs clean routes that make it difficult for a defender to defend him. Dillon makes sure to keep his body in between the defender and the football. Look for Dillon to make this multiple times over the next few years. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
