Plotkin has had quite a start to the season this Fall, and has amassed 400+ yards rushing in just two games, averaging 16 YPC, and scoring 6 TD’s on the ground. He is an elusive runner with good open field speed and vision in the open field, while running behind his pads and is not afraid to finish runs and gain the tough yards in-between the tackles.
Trapp checks in as the states second leading rusher after two weeks, going for over 350 yards and averaging 11+ yards per carry. He is a smooth runner with a big and physical build that only in his Junior season, could see college interest come his way through the final two seasons of his prep career. Trapp should continue on this same path and be one of the states top rushers once the season is over as well.
Ismael Cuevas
Ismael Cuevas
Cuevas could be a candidate to enter our ranks in the next update, and is one of the top 2026 rushers across Arizona. Through the first two weeks, he has rushed for over 350 yards and has looked sharp out of the backfield and seemingly very comfortable banging inside the tackles or using his speed/breakaway speed to cut it outside and gain the chunk yards. Cuevas who is only a Sophomore, could collect college interest through his final three seasons of his high school career and has the tools to make a impact on a college roster.
Bass has been leading the way for Arizona Lutheran, and has had a very nice first two weeks. The Senior has rushed for 300 yards, 8 YPC and 5 scores through the first two weeks and shown that he is one of the better backs across the region. Bass is an upright runner with good vision in tight windows, runs his feet through contact and is patient before hitting his second level gear before getting into the open. Also a natural pass catcher with strong body control that gets upfield quickly, he is one to watch in the backfield this Fall.
