All of those big numbers we saw in Week 1 only means more anticipation for Week 2.

Teams from the CSRA were responsible for a bunch of those, so naturally we're keeping a close eye on a pair of linebackers, a defensive back who has been making up for missing teammates, two quarterbacks who are squaring off against each other and a receiver who has shown out while everyone is locked in to his backfield.

Kedrick Sabb LB, Blackville-Hilda

We think it's safe to say that Sabb is back to his old self. After missing his junior year with a torn ACL, the former all-region player was big in last week's win over Barnwell, picking up 12 tackles. Sabb is about to pursue on the boundary and get into the backfield, and he could have another equally big individual week against Allendale-Fairfax.

[player_tooltip player_id='272720' first='Cameron' last='Austin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='464885' first='Chanston' last='Crosby'] QBs, Barnwell/Bamberg-Ehrhardt

An intriguing quarterback matchup will take place in this game, as Austin (243 passing yards, three touchdowns) and Crosby - one of the state's top-ranked quarterbacks, regardless of class - will each take the field trying to get their teams back into the win column after Week 1 losses. Crosby might have a bit more star power, but Austin has been equally effective, completing 65 percent of his passes and adding 122 rushing yards and five touchdowns to his ledger.

Tre Clarke DB, Strom Thurmond

The Rebels' senior safety had an impressive 2022, and he's already looking like he's even better this fall. Through two games, he's got 19 total tackles (17 solo) and has proved capable of making up for Strom Thurmond linebackers Michael Blocker and [player_tooltip player_id='589012' first='Jamaris' last='Stevens'] each missing a game due to injuries. Either way, Clarke will need to be active this week against an Aiken offense that has put up some decent passing yards already.

Malik Scurry WR, South Aiken

The word was already out on the T-breds and their run-first offense, but the team has aired it out more in the first two weeks, thanks in large part to [player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards']' ankle injury sidelining him for Week 1. This Friday at home against Gilbert, Scurry (232 yards, three touchdowns) will be a top target for quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='340388' first='Terrence' last='Smith'] again. Scurry already has a pair of 100-yard receiving games.

[player_tooltip player_id='91351' first='Jayden' last='Fuller'] LB, Silver Bluff

Midland Valley tailback [player_tooltip player_id='91348' first='Traevon' last='Dunbar'] has gone ham, rushing for 570 yards in two games. And while Fuller (pictured) is going to have plenty of help (*cough [player_tooltip player_id='451249' first='Jaydon' last='Eason'] cough*), Fuller roaming the middle of the defense is going to determine if Dunbar has another stellar week. The Mustangs' tailback vs. the Silver Bluff linebacker is going to draw a ton of eyes from college recruiters as a gauge of what both will look like at the next level.
