[player_tooltip player_id='272708' first='Chamarryus' last='Bomar'], Byrnes

Bomar didn't record an offensive stat for the Rebels, but still provided a crucial score. After his brother [player_tooltip player_id='272705' first='Armoni' last='Weaver'] broke up a pass, Bomar made an acrobatic interception, diving and tapping it to himself before returning it 80 yards for a TD in the Rebels' 24-9 victory over Hough.

Kamajay Brackett-Brannon, Broome

The Centurions' dual-threat QB was huge in a one-point win over the defending 3A Upper State champions. Brannon ran for 94 yards and a score, and completed 9-of-12 passes for 125 yards and another touchdown in Broome's 22-21 victory over Powdersville.

KJay Proctor, Chesnee

How well will the Eagles adapt to their new spread offense? Pretty well, if the first game is any indication. Proctor rushed for 43 yards and a pair of scores, and threw for 92 yards and three more TDs in a 41-30 Chesnee victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='473029' first='Jaiden' last='McDowell'], Gaffney

Another talented sophomore RB, McDowell got year two off to a great start. He rushed 20 times for 146 yards and three TDs in the Indians' loss to Crest.

Kory Scott, Woodruff

Scott's a tough guy to deal with, and he proved it on Friday. He hauled in 10 catches for 134 yards and two TDs in the Wolverines' loss to Chapman.
