<p>Bennett ran for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries as 3A No. 3 Daniel kicked off the season by beating Greer 48-20.</p>

<p>The Fury very nearly beat West-Oak last year to begin their football history with a win. They had to wait a year, but Holliday (pictured) helped make it happen on Friday. He threw for 170 yards and two scores, rushed 14 times for 72 yards and two more scores, and provided a pair of two-point conversions in a 28-0 victory.</p>

<p>Bennett provided plenty of fireworks for most of the Red Raiders' 34-21 win over Dorman, then he put it away. He had five catches for 133 yards and two touchdowns, the second with six minutes left as Dorman was closing the gap. </p>

<p>Wilson-Abrams looked dominant at times against Dorman. He had nine tackles, two sacks, and two tackles for loss as the Red Raiders' defense smothered the Cavaliers in the early going.</p>

<p>The Yellow Jackets fell to Daniel, but Martin showed why he's regarded as one of the best RBs in the Upstate. He scored all three of Greer's touchdowns, rushing for 145 of Greer's 212 yards of total offense.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='809746' first='Kalab' last='Sutton']</strong> and <strong>Thomas Stanley</strong>, Hillcrest</p>

<p> Two of the Rams' playmakers made the most of limited touches in a huge 55-9 win over Laurens. Sutton threw just seven passes, but he completed five and three of those went for TDs. He finished with 140 yards passing and rushed for 41, with a TD on the ground. Stanley had 132 rushing yards and two scores on just 10 carries.</p>

<p>Anderson aired it out against Eastside, finishing 15-for-20 for 268 yards. <strong>Jacob Wright</strong> notched four catches for 96 yards, while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1142457' first='Mikel' last='McClellan']</strong> had five for 88.</p>

<p>Skinner was an all-purpose monster with 221 scrimmage yards in a 49-7 win over Travelers Rest. He ran for 129 yards and a TD, adding 92 receiving yards and three more scores.</p>
