Demello Jones Demello Jones 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Swainsboro | 2024 State GA – Swainsboro
An explosive runner and one of the best overall athletes in the state, Jones is committed to play for the in-state Georgia Bulldogs for a reason. He’s a naturally gifted athlete who will play defensive back at the next level, but he still knows how to run the ball. He’s fast, shift, and can get to his second gear in a hurry. Against Single-A defenses, Jones looks like he’s playing in fast-forward. His burst and ability to make defenders miss make him to tough to corral and get to the ground. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder is currently ranked as the No. 16 prospect in Georgia according to Prep Redzone. As a junior last year, playing on both sides of the ball, Jones ran for 1,279 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also had games of 241 yards, 223 yards, 169 yards, and 145 yards. He’s an elite talent, and you can expect him to run wild again for a Swainsboro team looking to get back to the state championship game.
Jeremy Bell – Clinch County
An explosive overall athlete, Bell is a wide receiver who ran wild in week one to start the 2023 season, rushing for 194 yards and three touchdowns. What’s more impressive is the fact that he only carried the ball 11 times, but averaged an impressive 17.6 yards per rush. At 6-foot-1 175-pounds, Bell runs hard and plays bigger than his size. One of the more athletic prospects in the area, Bell is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He’s a go-to option in the passing game due to his reliable hands, but it’s clear he’ll see plenty of carries at running back this fall. Without a doubt one of the more underrated players on offense in Georgia, Bell has D1-caliber speed, claiming a 4.45 time in the 40-yard dash. He also has good size on him at 6-foot-1 175-pounds with a giant wingspan. He looks the part of a D1 prospect and is playing like one to start his senior season.
Braylon Sullivan – Dade County
A tough, bigger back that brings above-average speed to the table, Sullivan shows great vision and big-play ability. Tucked all the way up in Northwest Georgia, Sullivan doesn’t play in a major area, so his play has unfortunately got unnoticed. Still, he’s one of the top returning backs in Single-A heading into the 2023 season. At 6-foot-2 185-pounds, Sullivan is bigger than most and consistently one of the better athletes on the field. He plays multiple positions and loves to compete. At running back, Sullivan ran for 730 yards and 8 touchdowns in just 9 games. He showed the ability to take over games when his name was called, rushing for over 115 yards in three of his nine games last year. His biggest game came in a win against North Sand Mountain (AL) where he rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns.
Semaj Jenkins – Lincoln County
An explosive back who may be on the smaller side, Jenkins is a tough runner for his frame who is coming off an excellent junior season last year. The Single-A back was incredibly hard to tackle week after week in 2022. The 5-foot-9 170-pounder runs with great balance and has a knack for staying on his feet. If you don’t wrap him up, he’s not going down. He’s tough to contain in the open field and has enough speed to score on any particular play. Still known as an under the radar back, Jenkins is coming off a fantastic junior season where he rushed for over 1,000 yards and an eye-opening 17 touchdowns. He’s great in short-yardage situations and around the goal-line, which is really impressive considering his smaller frame. He was also a dependable option in the passing game, catching nine passes for just under 200 yards and five more touchdowns. Like the others, look Jenkins to have a gigantic senior season in 2023.
