1)Central Dauphin at Wilson.

Two 0-1 teams playing in this game. Central Dauphin is a talented team that lost to Central York in a game featured by [player_tooltip player_id='255055' first='Juelz' last='Goff'] of Central York who scored 6 touchdowns. Wilson lost to a super-talented Roman Catholic team. Both teams will be hungry to play this game and I expect both teams to bring their best games. Whoever loses this game to fall to 0-2 will still have a shot at a successful season, but it will put them in a hole for the season.

2) Hempfield at York High.

Hempfield played a strange week one game against Dallastown. They were down 14-0 at the half and stormed back to win the game 16-14. They played a bad half of football and then turned around to play a good half of football to get the win. It is interesting to see which team shows up. York High struggled against Harrisburg, in a 50-20 loss. No shame in losing to a state power like Harrisburg, but York High is looking to avoid going 0-2 for the 2nd straight year. Both teams should compete in their respective Leagues, but whoever loses this game will lose a chance at building some momentum going forward.

3) Cedar Crest at Central Dauphin East

Cedar Crest and Warwick both had week 1 wins. Cedar Crest beat Northeast out of Philadelphia 24-0. Central Dauphin East beat Reading 55-6. Both teams play in tough leagues, but they also have a lot of talent to compete in both leagues. For both teams, a chance to start 2-0 would be a good opportunity going forward. I expect a spirited game between them.

4) Manheim Central at Smyrna (Delaware)

It is a very rare occurrence that a Pennsylvania team will go out of state to play an opponent. Manheim Central is traveling to play Delaware State High School power Smyrna. Smyrna is coming off a 12-1 regular season where they won the DIAA Class 3A State Championship. Manheim Central is coming off an 11-2 season and our bringing back the bulk of the team from last year. They have a loaded team returning and had an impressive week-one win over West Chester East 56-0. This is the 1st game for Smyrna on the season. Should be an exciting game for both teams.

5) Ephrata at Warwick.

Ephrata beat Warwick last year for the 1st time since 2005. A huge win for the Ephrata football team against their long-time rival Warwick. Warwick won a gritty week one game against Cocalico 17-14 and looks like a much-improved team from last year. Ephrata won a barn burner 34-32 over Red Lion. This should be a fun game between rivals and I expect Warwick will want to see revenge and put their best effort into winning the game. Ephrata will not be an easy opponent.
