Doyon was a player that was able to come in and contribute as a freshman and help this defense on the way to the championship. As a backer he has great vision and is able to read and react, stopping the ball carrier for little to no gain. He is able to get to the backfield and create pressure, at times bringing the QB down for a sack. He will figure to step in and anchor this defense as a key returning player and should be a player to keep on the radar.
Trevor Karabensh
Trevor Karabensh
Karabensh is a corner that is able to come out of his breaks quickly, getting in and knocking the ball away from receivers. He is not afraid to come up and make a tackle, being able to make some good open field tackles. At times he is able to show his athleticism, being able to go up and contest the 50/50 ball and make sure the receiver doesn’t come down with it. He will be on a mission to show that he is one of the top lockdown corners in 3A this season.
Milo Pascual
Milo Pascual
Pascual is a back that has the ability to make an impact in the return game, using his explosiveness to put his team in good field position. He will have a chance to step into the spell role which the player in that role last year was still able to bust out for 1,000 yards. He will have some competition at the role but will have a shot to control it if he is able to show that explosiveness consistently. He will be an under the radar player with a high ceiling.
Ramirez is a known running back that will be looking to make his case for top back in the state if he is able to duplicate what he did last season, toping the 2,000 yard mark with 30+ touchdowns. He has a lot of speed and when he gets into the open field can make a move on the defender and then turn it into a foot race. He does show some strength being hard to bring down and dragging defenders into the endzone at times. He will be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to climb the ranks this season.
Hartson is a duel-threat QB that has a big arm and can make every throw on the field, being able to put it where his receivers can make a play. He is able to anticipate throws, hitting receivers right out of their cuts and fitting the ball into tight spaces. He excels at deep passes, putting enough air on his passes so the receiver can run underneath. He spent this summer refining his passing and will look to start the season firing on all cylinders. Look for him to climb the ranks this season as well.
