[player_tooltip player_id='282392' first='Eric' last='Moore Jr']. - Ocean Springs</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What does the tape say?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Impressive production from 2022 campaign in which he totaled over 100 tackles. Good length to compact build. Looks at home in the center of the defense at MLB. Plays with head up and good vision shown by quick diagnosis of play. Finds the football with ease. More of a downhill type guy but holds his own in pass defense, namely zone coverage. Not dynamic athletically but plays with a bounce in his step. Projects as sure-handed tackler. Recent Arkansas State commit which feels like a great fit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Position Projection: Middle Linebacker</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>39. [player_tooltip player_id='346333' first='Jalen' last='Owens'] - Oak Grove</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What does the tape say?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Big, length frame currently playing on the defensive end. As he continues to fill out, weight/muscle should be added to frame and will most likely project to the interior line. Plays with a burst that mixes well with body makeup. Long arms wrap guys up. More of a run stuffing projection than pass rusher. Physical player that demands double teams. Potential to be strongest guy on the field in time. [player_tooltip player_id='344026' first='Jeremy' last='Scott'] - Callaway</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What does the tape say?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>More of a wiry/thin type frame that will project as a boundary wideout. Shows impressive speed that glides and burst for size. Has some twitch off the ball. Plays the ball with ease. Athletic ability is present and projects him as a jump ball/redzone threat. Another in a long line of top tier receiving talent that is committed to Ole Miss.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Position Projection: Wide Reciever</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>37. Extremely well put together kid destined for the linebacker position. Not the longest guy you'll see but good enough. Moves well with ease. Contributes across the scheme with potential at all 3 LB positions. Violent tackler and does it with technique. Jones can really run and is an explosive type. Cuts, changes directions, turns, shows twitch. Power 5 potential for the current Southern Miss commit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Position Projection: Linebacker</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>36. [player_tooltip player_id='346399' first='Trace' last='Carter'] - Ocean Springs</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What does the tape say?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The other of the two headed linebacker monster at Ocean Springs. Carter lacks some length but plays with fluidity throughout his game. Expect to see Carter lined up across the scheme but based as an outside linebacker. Explosiveness off the snap is a real tool as he plays with an overall disruptiveness. Production across the defensive gameplan. Carter moves with some ease and definite twitch.
