Sense of smoothness throughout his game. Dynamic athletically with the ball in his hands. Elite catch radius with possibly the best overall hands in the state for this cycle. He makes some catches that wow. Traffic and tight coverage are no concern. Runs well but not necessarily a speed demon. Shows production at all three levels. McNichols plays with a wide open, violent motor. Toughness and strength show. Production on both sides of the ball but feels like a defensive projection for now. Moves well for size but projects to move down to linebacker potentially. Seems like perfect fit for his style and body type. Athletic. Potential to really grow into that position. Has division 1 interest and is an underrated name that could blow up during senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Position Projection: Linebacker</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>43. Can produce as a pass catcher out wide or tagging onto the line for blocking help. Strong kid with football IQ shown by production at different positions including QB. Enough twitch and speed to get open but projects as a possession type guy. Missed back end of 2022 season due to injury. Inside linebacker projection with his best attributes being strength/power and tackling. Running game wrecking ball. Can continue to grow and only be better in that area. If he had more length could see him growing into an EDGE guy. Biggest struggle is in pass defense and projecting in that phase. Produces best on the EDGE as a pass rusher but sized more so for linebacker. Violent hands and impressive burst at the snap.
