Not a ton of wiggle in his game but makes up for it in various other ways. Good runner both sustained and off the ball. Impressive route running skills with ability to put foot in ground and change directions crisply and effectively. Film shows knack for the football and ability to get to it and make catches in crowded coverage. [player_tooltip player_id='910016' first='Anthony' last='Rogers'] - Laurel</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What does the tape say?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rogers is a recent Nichols State commitment and his speed is the number 1 reason why. Claims of him being a track star are quickly backed up on film. Elite burst and straight line speed for wearing pads. Good usage of hands when it is warranted helps compensate for what he lacks in size. Will definitely need to add some weight at the next level but value certainly presents itself in the defensive secondary and as a special teams return option. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Position Projection: Cornerback/Returner</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>48. Produces in a really good division. Good hand usage. Moves well which combines perfectly with his above average size for the position. Currently holds offer from Grambling State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Position Projection: Cornerback</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>47. At his best between the tackles with vision to bounce outside when need be. Serviceable speed that does not limit him. Twitchy between the tackles with make you miss ability. Produces in the receiving game as well. Runs tough with strength that wins in and thru contact. Plays with balance. Moves with twitch and athletic ability. Plays with under control speed although it takes him a several steps to get going. Impressive ball skills to not have a “true” position yet. Experience against best competition in the state at one of the best programs in the state.
