These players came out ready to battle and did what they needed in order to help their teams get the victory. These players should be on everybody’s radar after their performances and we will continue to try and give new names every week!
Mason Simmons | WR | Bridgeland | 6’1 | 200 | 2024
Simmons came out the gates with a bang. He started off the right with some big catches to get his team in scoring position, and showed his strong hands and physicality going after the ball. Simmons displayed strength, concentration, and great ball skills which led to him catching the game winning pass while being covered like a blanket. Simmons finished the night with a stat line of 6 receptions for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. Great start to the season for both he and the Bears.
Patrick Bridges | WR | Pearland | 6’1 | 195 | 2024
Bridges asserted his dominance with every target. He played with so much physicality, overpowering defensive backs, and making the contested catches to keep the chains moving. Bridges showed to be both a possessive and big play receiver for his quarterback. When the team needed a big play, Bridges was the guy to make them. Bridges hauled in 8 catches for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Bryant Thomas | RB | Cy Woods | 5’6 | 150 | 2025
Thomas showed pure athleticism and speed when he touched the ball. In the second half of a tight game, Thomas took over and made sure his team would get the dub. The St. Thomas offense came out firing and Edgecomb was on the end of many of the big plays. The team as a whole seemed unstoppable and Edgecomb put up a ridiculous stat line of 10 receptions for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns. He will be a name to keep eyes on for the year.
Dante’ Archie | RB | Katy Taylor | 5’10 | 160 | 2024
Archie did everything in his power to try and help his team get the win. When he had the ball in his possession, something good happened. As a receiver and a running back, he made big plays and looked like a mismatch when somebody tried to cover him. Archie finished the night with 80 yards on 19 carries and 3 rushing touchdowns, and added 8 receptions for 166 yards and a receiving touchdown to the total.
Jordan Hernandez | WR | Pearland | 5’9 | 150 | 2026
Speed, speed, and more speed. Hernandez put it on display week one, and helped his team get the victory with his big plays. Hernandez was a spark that the team needed in order to get to the finish line and will be a player to watch this season. He had a stat line of 4 receptions for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns.
